Sandbox vs. live Paypal – different behavior

I do not understand one or more things :)

I have set up the paypal sendbox, tried the buy/pay/sell/get process and everything works fine.
The user clicked on the buy button, it redirects him to the paypal page, then he logged in, confimed the price, bought the access. and after the paypal process he was shown the confirmation and the page from where he was redirected back to the website, with a “nice” screen telling him that he needs to make an account .. fill up his name, email etc.
He did that and received some emails. The user has been created. Everything as we expected, grate.

Okej then.
After this succesful test a went on, and refilled the sandbox credentials to the real ones. Switched the sandbox radios off, save the settings.

Live buy/pay/sell/get process:
The user clicked on the buy button, it redirects him to the paypal, there he logged in this time as a real user. He confirms the price, and paid. After that paypal said that everything went well so far but this time shows him different screen. No 5 second redirect, nothing like that instead there where 2 buttons on the right side and one of them said, something like return back to the website… back on the website the screen is different again. No information about the user creation, just a back to home button with message that the transaction went well.
No user has been created, no email sent. The user only paid, and nobody knows about it nothing.. only the paypal send to both sides confirmation about the transaction.

My question is, what I have overlooked?

UPDATE:
I have definitely forgot to set up the pypal IPN and PDT on live account.. I have no access to.. Wiil check it out, and I bet it will solve the problem..
If not I’ll be back.. :)

Yes, the IPN/PDT settings are what control the communication between PayPal and s2Member, so those settings must be filled out for the process to work correctly. :)

Let us know if you still have issues after correcting those.
