Sell Memberships, Downloads and Seminars

Hi

I have a business that sells:

1. Video Seminars (Membership Content)
2. Software Downloads (Installable Applications)
3. Physical Seminars (Training Courses in a Room)

At the moment I use Prestashop with plugins to deliver 2 and 3 above.

Would it be possible to use s2Member to deliver all three?

I know for a fact that you can do the first two since that is what i do on my site. But i am not sure about the Physical Seminar. I guess it would depend on what you want the s2M to do, whether it is for registration, downloading content for it, etc.

I am sure someone will chime in for the third point.

Thanks for the speedy response. At the moment I sell a seminar as a download product and allow the user to download the PDF syllabus so if 1 and 2 are possible then so will 3. Based on that I’m sure s2member will work.

Well, then, that would be possible.

1 – I have a site where i also have one membership course (non-recurring) and the content is video on the site and pdf handouts. I also have another one that has a recurring payment with dripped content (also, videos and pdf to download)

2- I have some downloads available for paid members only (the videos in mp4 format), and i would assume that your downloads would work just like any other download.

3- That would likely be other downloads that can be protected in the same way as above.

You’ll see that s2Member is very powerful and flexible. You can download the free version and it has all the features so you can test it even before purchasing (and maybe the free version will be enough too).

My software has a unique unlock key that is held in a database and is checked using remoting on launch so I will need to extend s2Member slightly but I’m sure it’s what I need.

A seminar can be £500+. Is there a way of accepting cheques and bank transfers?

I am not sure if there is such a thing with bank transfer. Maybe with the Pro version since it accepts other gateways than just Paypal? Hopefully a knowledgeable tech person can answer that one.

s2Member doesn’t have any integration for accepting checks or bank transfers directly, but you can give access to Users manually by either sending them one of these links (if they’re a User that wants to sign up) via email

Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Registration Access Links

Or you can manually upgrade the User, and/or manually update their End of Term date if it’s not a One-Time transaction.

I think I’ll use s2Member to sell content and Prestashop to sell downloads and training courses then.
