I have set up s2Member Pro on my Word Press site and am running both on the most recent updates – s2Member as v120213 and Word Press 3.3.1. I have integrated the Simple Press chat forum software and everything seems straight forward however there is one feature I’m not locating within s2Member and am not sure if there is a work around.

I currently have my chat forum protected at 4 levels, one free and 3 paid. None of the forum is accessible unless visitors are a member. What happens currently,

New visitor clicks on the forum they are automatically they see the ‘You Must Be Logged In To Post’ but the forum topics are not displayed. Additionally, the “Recent Forum Posts” on the sidebar does not display posts unless you are logged in.

What I want is for new visitors to be able to Preview the forum, see the list of forums that you typically see when you land on the front page of a chat forum BUT if they click through to any topic it will tell them to log in to access. I would also like the recent posts to display on the sidebar for non-members as well.

Having this feature set up lets non-members see what they would access if they chose to join. I cannot seem to locate any instructions on how to lock the forums but let these “teasers” I suppose we could call them display. Could you please advise on how I could accomplish this?

Thanks!

Hi Michedolene,

That level of customization will require custom programming. I recommend you post a freelance job on one of these sites:
