How do I create a translation for the “activity” page?

My member page is controlled by the activity theme/Activity/index.php file. Do I create a second version of the php file and if so how do I link that to the french page?

Hi Frank.

What do you mean? Are you using an s2Member shortcode there? or do you mean translating the theme’s template for that page?

once users have logged in The first time they are presented with the “first time user screen”.

This page is also available in French
http://ccarts.ca/fr/bienvenue/

When users login the second time they are forwarded directly to the “activity page” — this page has imported a post into it (http://ccarts.ca/fr/uncategorized-fr/welcome-back-3/ ) which has been translated. My question is – Is there a way to create a French version of the Activity page? So that forum members will see the French navigation, welcome text and frequently asked questions? .

I have created a temporarily login for you.

Well, you could have a custom profile field for the user to select his preferred language for the site when he registers. Then you’d show the content in the language the user picked. You can check the custom profile field with a shortcode if you’re in a post, or with PHP if you’re in the templates.

I hope that helps. :)
