Hello,
I recently updated to the newest version of s2Member Framework (v120703). I then followed the steps for updating s2Member Pro (from http://www.s2member.com/pro/#!s2_tab_jump=s2-pro-install-update), but I Pro is not showing up within my WP Admin Dashboard.

I’ve checked and double-checked that I followed the installation steps, but something is not right. Any troubleshooting suggestions to make sure that s2Member is recognizing the presence of that Pro module?

Thanks,
Carrie

Hi Carrie,

So you’ve tried uploading the s2member-pro folder to the wp-content/plugins/ directory via FTP? Normally that would be my recommendation, to upload it via FTP.

However, if you’ve already tried that, then I suggest trying to disable the s2Member Framework plugin and then reenable it (first make sure Deactivation Safeguards are enabled in Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Deactivation Safeguards).

If that doesn’t work either, then you may have a permissions issue on your server, in which case I recommend contacting your web host to see if they can check to make sure the permissions on your uploaded s2member-pro folder are correct.

Hi Raam,
Thanks for getting back with me. I did upload Pro (and actually even the core Framework update) via FTP. I also have the Deactivation Safeguards on to keep all my options preserved.

The permissions angle is interesting. Just as an experiment, I opened up the permissions on the s2member-pro folder (and all contents) to 777. I deactivated / reactivated the Framework, but it didn’t pick it back up. I changed it back to 755 (the original setting) after that.

Any recommended next steps? I am happy to provide access via FTP and my WP Admin.

I appreciate the help!
Carrie

Hi Carrie.

I saw your email with the login info. Thanks for sending it.

I found the problem, you had the s2member-pro folder inside another s2member-pro folder, i.e. s2member-pro/s2member-pro/.

So I removed the extra one and now you have s2Member Pro active in your WordPress admin. :)
