I am hoping to use this plugin primarily for managing and maintaining membership payments and subscriptions. I will not really be protecting any content.

We operate a gym facility that has variable pricing options that are not at set increments. Is there a way to have people set their own pricing?

For example, a standard pricing option would be $105/mth. But, depending on the amount of family, there is discounts for additional members.

But, for some people, because of financial constraints, we have worked out special pricing for them that would not be a “standard” option. So, what would be nice if there was an option for them to enter an agreed upon price for their recurring subscription.

Another option would be if I could pre-stage their user account with a set price. They would then be sent an email notification with their login account and password. This would set them up as a “free” user. Once logged in, they would have the option to pay the amount that was specified uniquely for their account.

Are either of these possible? And, if so, what PayPal level would be required?

Hello Kevin,

I’d like to point something out. While you can solve this with s2Member, it is not made for this. IT is not made to manage payments, it is made to manage memberships. You could probably use PayPal alone in a way that would work much better. :)

You can have users pay their own amount and stuff like that with some small hacks in the shortcode and using an MU plugin. This would be used along with specific post/page access links.

Do you still want me to tell you the solution?
