User uploads (document, photo)

Hi

Is there any way for S2Member to allow a user at a given membership level to upload and maintain a document? I’m thinking about a PDF or Word file. The document would be visible to admins but not to other users.

Related, since it’s an upload question: is there any way for a user to upload a photo or custom avatar?

If these functions are not supported directly by S2Member, do you know of plugins that could work with S2Member and offer those functions?

Hi Bahi,

These functions are not directly supported by s2Member, so you will need to do some custom programming or find a 3rd party plugin that provides these functions. I don’t personally know of any plugins to recommend, but you may want to post your query in the Community Forum to see if other s2Member users have any recommendations.

Thanks, Raam. We have the photo functionality provisionally working using the User Photo plugin and have dropped the requirement to manage a document. S2Member is working very well to hide and show parts of posts, in conjunction with our theme, which is Thesis. To allow the User Photo plugin to work, we had to allow users to use the regular WordPress profile panel rather than S2M’s but we’ve restyled it to look good.
