Hello

Me again! I would like to send a html email to our free subscribers telling them how wonderful we are and that we are worth paying for. I would like to utilise the fields below to personalise and remind them of their details:

%%user_full_name%%
User ID: %%user_id%%
Username: %%user_login%%
Email: %%user_email%%
IP Address: %%user_ip%%
Address: %%addr1%%, %%addr2%%, %%city%%, %%thestate%%, %%zip%%, %%country%%, %%phone%%

But of course if I paste them into an email they remain as they are and do not reflect the values from the db. Is it possible to do this?

Thanks in advance for your patient.

PS I am sending it through a plugin in WordPress.

Cheers

Soosie

Hi Soosie. :)

Well, the replacement codes are avaiable for s2Member emails, like the Signup Confirmation one, or the New User email if you customize it. But it seems you’re talking about another email not handled by s2Member.

If that’s the case, you’ll need to create your own script to query the database for those fields and customize the emails sent. These may be useful:

I hope it helps!

Thanks Crisian but I’m no programmer. I wouldn’t know where to start.

Maybe in the future s2members could have a free form email that we can put our own text in, utilise the db fields and send it to selected levels of membership. Perghaps it can go on the wishlist?

Any other ideas are welcome.
Cheers

Sure! I’m taking that as a feature request then. :)
