S2 Members looks like it has a lot of functionality.
Right now, we’re set up with E-Junkie for sales/distribution of our eBook (which will include membership to our site), and are not ready to change that. I don’t think you integrate E-Junkie at the moment, but I want to see if your software (either free or PRO version) would support this scenario:

1. Person buys eBook, receives the book and information to register on our site (otherwise unpublished link)
2. They go to registration link and become members – this would be a free membership to S2 Members (I believe)
3. Upon registration, their information is sent automatically to our email autoresponder AWeber, where they are signed-up – with opt-in – for our members newsletter. The AWeber sign up should include the person’s full name – not their username – as well as their email address.
4. At this time they can have access to the members-only portions of our site

Will this work? Over time, we might want to include more functionality that your software provides. If you were
to provide E-Junkie integration in the future, that would be even better.

We will make a decision on membership software within the next two days.

Thanks
Howard Gluckman

Hi Howard,

Yes, s2Member is very well slated to handle that scenario. We integrate with AWeber and MailChimp and new users will be added to a list of your choice when they register.

The purchasing of the ebook and the signing up for an account can actually be handled in one step (if you want it to be separate steps, that can be done as well). You’d create a “purchase ebook” page and place a PayPal Pro-Form (or other supported payment gateway) on that page. When someone fills out the form and completes their payment, they will automatically be added to your AWeber list and then be allowed to login and download their ebook (or you could place a link to the ebook in the Signup Confirmation Email, which you can edit inside s2Member).

We have lots of tutorial videos that explain various features of the plugin and taking a look at those should give you a good idea of what’s possible. I also recommend downloading the free version of the plugin and taking it for a spin.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.
