Hello,

How do I put the expiration date on the “Your Profile Page”?

I would like this information on the page to prevent emails and calls asking about the subscription ending date.

Thanks,

JoAnn

PS: InMotion Hosting set up my Word Press site with S2 Member and they do not know S2 that well so don’t know the above answer.

Hi JoAnn.

I answered the expiration time question in your other thread, but you basically don’t know the expiration date in advance for subscriptions, only for buy-nows.

Subscriptions are managed by the gateway and it’s the gateway the one that informs s2Member when the subscription ends (cancellation, lack of payment, etc.). Then s2Member knows the expiration date and handles it based on your EOT behavior setting. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Automatic EOT Behavior[/hilite]

Are you selling subscriptions (recurring payments) or buy-nows (one time payment)?

Hello,

I don’t know how to put a new question on this Customer Forum, so I am just replying to my previous post.

Can IP Addresses be blocked by S2Member?

I have a person who is in Bridgeport, CT. The IP addresses I am getting from CT are multiple, but none from the city of Bridgeport, and no IP address with the IP address in S2Member for this person who is in Bridgeport, CT.

I am getting different IP addresses for the cities of: Rocky Hill, CT — Wallingford CT — Manchester CT — Middletown CT — New Haven CT — Hartford CT — and New Haven, CT — when I have one user in CT who is in Bridgeport. What may be happening?

May this person’s IP address be registering by whatever server is serving him in the state of CT?

I have a list of the various IP addresses that have been into the protected pages on my website in these cities, but, again, no IP address is the same as the IP address listed for this person by S2Member — and no IP address from Bridgeport, CT. I talked to this person and this person has been using the website’s protected pages that are protected by S2Member; and says that he has not given his username/password to anyone.

He called to say that he could no longer get into the website’s protected pages, and I adjusted the IP blocking to “unlimited IP address” until I figure out what is going on.

Thanks,
JoAnn

JoAnn, I just sent you an email answering all the questions you had made in your posts, including the one about this person with the IP problem. I sent it by email and removed your your posts from the forum because you mentioned in one that you didn’t want that in any forum.

About that person’s IP problem, he either shared the login info with people from those cities and told you he didn’t, or they’re all made by him while travelling, or he’s using a proxy service that makes his connections look as if coming from other computers. Internet connections do go via several servers along the way, but only the IP of the actual device the person is using is the one counted.

You can reset his IP restriction from his profile so he can access the site again, if you want. And you can change his password from his profile too and send it to him, although it wouldn’t prevent him from sharing it, but it’d prevent the previous one from working for others if they had it.

I hope that helps. :)
