Dear Bruce:
I’m building a child theme on my Wampserver. I’m mostly playing with the style.css in the child theme using Firebug to view the html/css and incrementally adjusting the html/css before transferring the changes to my child theme. I’ve tried commenting out line 5 to 21 of /wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/sidebar.php – but I ‘ve only managed to removed the BP default Login panel when I’m logged in but when I logged out the whole right sidebar is not visible!
Using Firebug I tried to set CSS for id=”sidebar-me” to display :none; but has so been unsuccessful in hiding the BP Default Login panel via CSS.
I’ve a test site at xxx which has not been styled yet – but the main components and functionality of the site are all there.
Appreciate your help on removing the Buddypress Default Login Panel in the right sidebar so that I can replaced it with the S2member Pro Login widget – I’m sure you will get alot of questions from other customers as Buddypress gain in popularity among the WordPress community.
