Thanks Eduan,
I now understand it is not an S2Member issue. Unfortunately, my web hosting company does not feel it is an issue on their end either. I tried testing that theory by sending emails directly from the email panel and they were not delivered. Back to the drawing board, but thank you for your help.

I installed the WP Mail SMTP plugin and ran a couple of test emails and the result was this:

SMTP -> FROM SERVER:220-server15.websitehostserver.net ESMTP Exim 4.80 #2 Thu, 07 Mar 2013 09:12:18 -0600
220-We do not authorize the use of this system to transport unsolicited,
220 and/or bulk e-mail.
