Post edited.

I am going in circles.

Why is it possible for the Admin user to log in without the endless loop, but lower levels not?

I just don’t get it.

It is a real pain. I have spent 2 days trying to fix it or find an alternative. I am feeling quite desperate but no help seems to be forthcoming from either developer.

I have also tried different plugins, all to no avail. I am now testing to see if I can invoke a modal located on a page that can be redirected, or from a menu link.

I guess the final answer is to go back to using the previous version of login with Ajax, but I don’t like outdated plugins.

Same problem here. Just adding my voice to the issue.

Wordpress Login With Ajax, and s2 Member now conflict for non-admin users.

It is seems related to redirects.

Hope you can work together to find a solution.

I suspect the clamour will begin to grow as more people discover the same issue…

Hi Eduan,

Sure thing. At this time all I wanted was a way of stopping non-members from accessing the content, so I set up s2 according to the minimum requirements.

Then I blocked all users below level 2 from accessing the private content in the s2 admin.

Next I set the same page that contains the thumbnails (links) to the protected content as a registration page before drawing a widget block and inserting the login with Ajax widget into it.

The nice thing about Headway is that you can easily filter content from different posts all on one page.

Now if anyone clicks a link on the page to try and access the protected content, nothing happens (or rather the page just scrolls to the top if not already there).

To access the content they must sign in, and using the login with ajax widget means the content becomes accessible without reloading the whole page again.
