Hi Jordan et al,

WPEngine has taken care of the issue on our site. Here’s their response (below). Hope this helps!

Hey Heather,

Thanks for contacting WP Engine. I’ve gone ahead and disabled a recently released security feature around Login Protection that most likely was causing the issue. Can you check again in ten minutes, it should be working. Please let us know.

Hi Jordan,

I just found this morning that the widget no longer works for admins either, at least on our site.

Also, we were on an old version of S2 Member when we noticed the issue, so likely it wasn’t the S2 Member update that started this. I’m thinking that WPE made a change yesterday that started this.

No word back from WPE yet. Will let you know if I hear something.

Thanks!
Heather

Hi Jordan,

Interesting – yes, now /wp-login.php does allow a member to login – that’s a start at least. Same as you, we have users login via a login widget typically.

No response yet from WPE but will let you know if I hear anything at all.

Thanks!
Heather

We have the same issue on our site at http://yumuniverse.com and it is also hosted at WP Engine. We’re completely up to date with all plugins and WP version, but noticed the issue earlier today. Hopefully someone has an idea of what happened here (I imagine a change on the WP Engine side). Will post more as I learn more.
