Hi Cristian Thanks for your reply. Alternatively to a popup can the registration page be in my theme (ie keeping the sidebars and header on) rather than going to a separate page? Thanks

Hi Cassel, I see your point but don’t think the widget route gets across the message to entice as much as a popup would to the user ie to see the content that you just clicked you must register, if not just close the popup and continue with your journey. thanks anyway

Hi Cassel, Thanks for the reply. Yes I need a popup the main reason being is I will have some links (publicly view-able) that are only allowed to be downloaded by registered members. I know the standard way would be to have them diverted to a registration page and back again but I want to keep the users journey as simple and smooth as possible (and now i have the idea in my head i’m kind of stuck to it like a dog with a bone – I’ve been searching for 3 days now to try and figure this out!) Forbes.com do fairly similar to what i want to achieve (when you click the join me link top right) but i want this to appear when the user clicks a restricted link. Thanks for the advice anyway, appreciated
