Hi,
I use s2Member Pro. I am reading this post, http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6597, but I’m not understanding how the chunks of code from the download options fit into the code of flowplayer. My code is below:

flowplayer(
"player2",
"http://www.the-tma.org/wp-content/plugins/s2member-files/flowplayer.commercial-3.2.7.swf",
{
key: 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxx',
clip: {
       autoPlay: true,
	autoBuffering: true,
url: 'http://www.the-tma.org/?s2member_file_download=Cara-Bartek_1.flv&s2member_file_download_key=',
	  },
});

I have also created this page (currently NOT behind s2Member Pro security specifically for this post): http://the-tma.org/flowplayer-test-2. The second video’s files are all saved in the s2Member Files folder. When the same page IS behind s2Member security and the user is logged in, the second video does not play. Am I saving the files incorrectly and, also, is this type of user activity – viewing videos – trackable with s2member?

Let me know if you need any other information.

Thanks so much for your help!! Rayna

Hi,
I use s2Member Pro. I am/have been reading this post along with a few others, http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6597, and also reading the ‘download options’ instructions/explanations provided in the backend but I’m not understanding how the chunks of code from the download options fit into the code of flowplayer. My code is below:

flowplayer(
"player2",
"http://www.the-tma.org/wp-content/themes/corporate/flash/flowplayer.commercial-3.2.7.swf",
{
key: 'xxxxxxxxxx',
clip: {
       autoPlay: true,
	autoBuffering: true,
url: 'http://www.the-tma.org/?s2member_file_download=Cara-Bartek_1.flv',
	  },
});

This particular set up at least shows the flowplayer skin but gives a ‘can’t find stream’ error which I’m thinking is because one is in the secure folder and one is not but when I set up the swf file location as linking to the s2member folder, all I get is a black box – no skin, no movie.

I have also created this page (currently NOT behind s2Member Pro security specifically for this post): http://the-tma.org/flowplayer-test-2. The first video’s files are all saved in the s2Member Files folder.

I’ve been trying a bunch of different variations with type=video but am kind of stuck. Let me know if you need any other information.

Thanks so much for your help and your time!! Rayna

Hi Rayna,

Thank you for your patience.

Could you share the full code that you’re using on that video page?

If any of it has PHP code inside (for example, code that runs the s2member_file_download_key() function), then you’ll need to be using a a plugin such as the Exec-PHP.

Hey Raam, I did install Exec-PHP so that part is ok! :)

<a href="#"><img src="http://the-tma.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/splash-cara-bartek.png" width="425" height="300" /></a>

<!-- this script block will install Flowplayer inside previous DIV tag -->

	flowplayer(
	"player2",
	"http://www.the-tma.org/wp-content/themes/corporate/flash/flowplayer.commercial-3.2.7.swf",
	{
	key: '#$61c208549980c60060e',
	clip: {
	       autoPlay: true,
		autoBuffering: true,
url: 'http://www.the-tma.org/?s2member_file_download=Cara-Bartek_1.flv',
		  },
	});

This particular set up at least shows the flowplayer skin but gives a ‘can’t find stream’ error which I’m thinking is because one is in the secure folder and one is not but when I set up the swf file location as linking to the s2member folder, all I get is a black box – no skin, no movie.

I have also created this page (currently NOT behind s2Member Pro security specifically for this post): http://the-tma.org/flowplayer-test-2, so you can see all the code together. The first video’s files are all saved in the s2Member Files folder. The second one is the one that works but isn’t protected at all.

I’ve been trying a bunch of different variations with type=video, etc, but just not sure how it all works together.

thanks so much for your reply!r.

Hi Rayna,

What version of s2Member are you running? If you’re not running the latest version, could you please try updating?

Hi Raam,
I am updated to the latest version, Version: 120219. It was updated fairly recently.

Thanks, Rayna

Could you please try changing this line:

url: 'http://www.the-tma.org/?s2member_file_download=Cara-Bartek_1.flv',

to this:

url: 'http://www.the-tma.org/wp-content/plugins/s2member-files/s2member-file-inline/Cara-Bartek_1.flv',

After making those changes, could you please test the video while logged in as well as logged out?

Posted: Thursday Feb 23rd, 2012 at 2:54 pm #6151

Hi, I changed it and tested it both ways but it still results in a \’200, Stream not found, NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound…\’ error.

All my files are in the s2Member folder. The permissions are set to 755 (which I assume is default because I\’ve not messed with them).

thanks!

Have you tried using JWPlayer instead of Flowplayer?

Jason did a new video on File Downloads (Amazon S3/CloudFront/JW Player) that may be helpful:

Hi, I have switched to JW Player. The videos are now working fine.

There is a new snag:
I upgraded to the latest version of s2Member Pro 120219 and patched for multi-site. When I test a log in, I cannot get to any of my secure pages – I keep being redirected to the Membership sign up page instead of the log in welcome page.

The only changes I\’ve made so s2Member were adding two inline file formats to the \’download options\’ area. I\’m digging around in the forums but haven\’t seen anyone else with that issue recently so maybe it wasn\’t the upgrade.

Thanks so much.r.

Hi Rayna,

Are you using URI Access Restrictions at all? (Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› URI Access Restrictions) It sounds like something in there might be causing problems.

To help me further diagnose, please copy/paste the long URL that you’re being redirected to?

Hi Rayna,

That indicates you have a page restriction set up for that page and it requires at least Level 0 access.

Are you able to access that secure page with an Admin account? Also, have you triple-checked that the test account you’re using has the s2Member Level 0 role (you can check this by editing the user and looking at its role).

If the above are both true, I would suggest disabling any other plugins you’re running. It’s possible another plugin is conflicting with s2Member.

Nice catch! – though odd from my end. that test user was in the database but not in the WordPress User list. Deleted from the database and \’registered\’ again, all is right with the world!

thank you SO much for all your help! my weekend will be much more relaxed now. i hope you have a good one too.
