Cristian, Raam & Jason, Thank you SO much for getting this resolved today. You guys are top-notch! Super girlie moment: xoxoxo On the professional side, that is one of those things that I don’t think of very often – I forget that it’s set up with no www. I will mentally add that to the list of things to check from now on when things go amiss. Thanks again, Rayna |

Hi Jason, That version of the link did not work. In regards to your questions: Did you configure this instance of the s2Member plugin? Yes, the form fields have been customized, I have all the pages set – Login Welcome, Membership Options, etc., free registration is allowed, etc. NOT yet configured any Basic Download Restrictions for s2Member on this particular Child Blog? I have the restrictions configured like the main site. So: Basic Download Restrictions – there is a limit set and a page set for limit exceeded; inline file extensions are ‘flv, swf’, we don’t use the Cloud options. I’m clearly missing something but I’ve gone back and forth between the settings a number of times but can’t see what I’m missing. Thanks again, Rayna |

Hi,
That I understand and that’s not what I’m trying to do. http://the-tma.org/oilandenergy/ is its own site, own users and it’s own files just like the test user/subscriber is a member on the /oilandenergy site but NOT the-tma.org site. I only referenced the-tma.org because the videos are working there. I created a page, which is my login welcome page, on the /oilandenergy site but the videos won’t load from the s2Member folder. Here is a screenshot of the page and the video with the error message: http://www.the-tma.org/wp-content/uploads/screenshot2.jpg The question is: Why aren’t my videos loading on this site? Can you protect content on a sub-site? (we own all of them, it’s not a blog farm which is why I only upgraded to the multisite license. I thought maybe that was why the videos weren’t working, because I only had a single site license) Thank you! Rayna |

Hi Cristian, For Download Restrictions, I have flv & swf as an inline file but there really isn’t anything else to configure. I set the options up like the main site where the videos are working. We don’t use Cloud services and there are no download limits. I tried the version of the link to the file listed under ‘basic download restrictions’ http://the-tma.org/oilandenergy/?s2member_file_download=example-file.zip, but this only created cross domain policy restrictions. When I saw that format, I also tried adding ‘oilandenergy’ to the file link structure I’m currently using but that didn’t work either. So instead of I tried I feel like it’s so close! :) Thanks so much for your help and quick reply! Rayna |

Nice catch! – though odd from my end. that test user was in the database but not in the WordPress User list. Deleted from the database and \’registered\’ again, all is right with the world! thank you SO much for all your help! my weekend will be much more relaxed now. i hope you have a good one too. |

Hi, I have switched to JW Player. The videos are now working fine. There is a new snag: The only changes I\’ve made so s2Member were adding two inline file formats to the \’download options\’ area. I\’m digging around in the forums but haven\’t seen anyone else with that issue recently so maybe it wasn\’t the upgrade. Thanks so much.r. |

Hi, I changed it and tested it both ways but it still results in a \’200, Stream not found, NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound…\’ error. All my files are in the s2Member folder. The permissions are set to 755 (which I assume is default because I\’ve not messed with them). thanks! |

Hey Raam, I did install Exec-PHP so that part is ok! :)
This particular set up at least shows the flowplayer skin but gives a ‘can’t find stream’ error which I’m thinking is because one is in the secure folder and one is not but when I set up the swf file location as linking to the s2member folder, all I get is a black box – no skin, no movie. I have also created this page (currently NOT behind s2Member Pro security specifically for this post): http://the-tma.org/flowplayer-test-2, so you can see all the code together. The first video’s files are all saved in the s2Member Files folder. The second one is the one that works but isn’t protected at all. I’ve been trying a bunch of different variations with type=video, etc, but just not sure how it all works together. thanks so much for your reply!r. |
