We are still having a few teething issues with the sign ups. We did a test sign up (level3) to see if it was working ok. It does not error in the same way as before. It set the user up a a level3 member but it didn’t send a confirmation email to the user. From looking at the logs I can see “Skipping this IPN response, for now. The Subscr. ID is not associated with a registered Member.” is listed after his sign up.

The next two signups didn’t get emails nor did they get a membership level. They were listed as subscriber. I have manually raised them to level 1 (the level they signed up for) from the logs I can see “Skipping this IPN response, for now. The Subscr. ID is not associated with a registered Member.” for these two too I noticed that they had signed up with a different email to their paypal one does that make a difference?

Ok we have just had one go through totally fine. We are going to release our newsletter and see if it goes ok. One question I do have if all is well now:

When I have upgraded a subscriber by hand (as they are showing as paid at paypal but not on system) to a level member they are not assigned a Paid Subscr. ID, Does this matter?

If they are not assigned a Paid Subscr. ID, then s2Member will not be able to process cancellations or payment failures from PayPal. Normally s2Member receives IPN messages from PayPal indicating that someone’s payment failed or they canceled their recurring subscription.

When this happens, s2Member receives the IPN message from PayPal, searches the users for the matching Paid Subscr. ID, and then processes that s2Member account based on your settings in Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Automatic EOT Behavior.

So, if you want that integration, you will need to make sure the user’s account has the matching Paid Subscr. ID and the payment gateway (e.g., PayPal) selected on their account.
