I’ve searched and have found several answers that are close but none that seem to answer my current question.
I have several custom capabilities I want to add to various levels. Everything I’ve read about seems to be one time buys (lifetime purchase) rather than recurring on custom capabilities, or having them tied to membership levels. Am I needing to build out support for several other membership levels or am I simply missing how to accomplish this.

Basically I need recurring billed custom capabilities I can add to any of my levels.

It is done just the same as the Buy Now.
You create the button with the recurring settings (how much, what rate, etc.) and in the field after the description, you can enter the custom capability you want.
Then, you protect the content with the specific ccaps, either on the box on top right of the page when you create a new page, or with a conditional statement if it is inside a page (like for partial content).

I have both on my site: one course that is “pay once and access all the time” and one “pay now, and keep paying every month to keep the access”.

Cassel, I think he wants a subscription for each ccap, instead of a subscription for the level which included the ccaps when purchased. He wants to have someone at a level be able to add a ccap with a subscription for the ccap.

Jorden, if I understood correctly what you’re asking, then that’s not available yet, but we definitely plan to support it in the near future.

Cristian, you are exactly right. Now… how near future is the near future? This is a critical element for my business model.

Not sure.

We are close to a beta testing phase. Not sure how close, or how long the phase will last, though. The new version is a complete rewrite, so the whole thing will be under test and bug zapping, not just a few new features. I don’t want to give an estimate in case I’m still off. I did want to let you know that it’s coming so you don’t lose hope.

We’ll announce when we have something more certain to announce. :)

Good to hear, though for my purposes in this project, if it’s more than a month out it may as well be nonexistant as I’ll have to write the functionality myself or find another solution.
Before I start that process, can you think of any way I can configure my levels or ccap that would give the illusion of the same functionality that would get me through till you guys go live?
Also, I may be interested in testing your beta when/if you guys get there. I have a few other upcoming projects I’d like to make you a solution for if you can implement these types of features.

Jorden,

The reason that’s not possible right now is because s2Member only supports one recurring subscription per user. To offer recurring subscriptions for ccaps, you’d need to be able to support multiple subscriptions per user, which is not currently possible. However, as Cristian mentioned, this is something we’re working towards supporting in the future.
