A perfect example is the email I recieved that led me here:

“Eduan wrote a new Forum Topic Reply.
See post link here: http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/bypassing-the-login-welcome-page/?qcAC=1#post-42611”

You get to the forum post. Then when you login, you are right back at the forum post. (not that I want someone to “SEE” the forum post in the blog, obviously they go right to the register page.

Unfortunately, the login welcome page gets in the way. Using “Previous” in the pro login form works great for that, but then I you lose the welcome page when someone logs in let’s say via Facebook. (they go back to the home page)

It’s too bad that functionality isn’t in S2Member. I hope you guys consider that in the future.

thanks

while we’re discussing this, I use your easy php plugin to insert php code in post. Every time I re-edit the page, it doesn’t work. Is that common, or just my editor messing things up? (it either gets commented out, or parts of the code are lost probably going back and forth from text to visual editor)

<?php turns into <–?
thanks

Actually, it’s normally set to FALSE – is that just as good as removing it?

Thanks Bruce…sounds good….but WHERE do I add this?
Can I add right to the widget under additional code?

thanks

Hi Jason. Actually, after further investiating since I posted, it appears it’s working as it should.

Most of the posts require membership to view so when someone (who is logged in) wants to share a page protected post, it’s just drawing content from membership options page. That page is set up with all the shortcodes based on their memberships, but obviously, if a member tries to share the page, whatever content I have in there goes in the share rather than the content of the post.

I don’t know the way around other than to write very cleverly in the membership options page. Add to that we really don’t want to “share” the membership options page.

If you have any other thoughts on this, I welcome them

thanks

Thanks Christian. All of this is quite complex (for me) but I can figure it out after reading over and over again.

What i am NOT getting is how to give a user such a ccap WITHOUT using a Paypal button. (kind of brings me back to my original dilmema of the cart).

….And then, “remove it (ccap)from the users”. I don’t know how to manually add it to that particular user, so wouldn’t know how to take it away :)

I’m sure this is simple, so if you can just clear this part up for me it would be appreciated.
