Hi Cristian, There is no free registration on my site for anything- registration only happens with a purchase. Here’s the link: http://socialmediatrainingsolutions.com/ Please scroll to the bottom of the page and click on ‘buy now with Clickbank’, which is a button just above the order now button. When you order, you will see a thank you page and will receive two emails to confirm your order, but no login/password email. I have another site http://www.easylinkedintraining.com where the s2member integration works beautifully and a username and password email is sent after purchase. The only difference between this site and that site is that this site has clickbank and paypal and the easylinkedintraining.com site only has paypal integrated. Thanks, |

Hi Cristian, Yes, I have selected the ‘customize new user emails with s2member’ option, instead of the wordpress option and have written the email, but it does not send. Not sure why it will not send after purchase. As far as I can tell, I’ve done everything required… Thanks for your quick response! |

Hi Cristian, OK- it works great up to a point. The thank you page I want shows after checkout, the payment receipt is sent by clickbank and the auto-generated email from S2Member that says ‘Congratulations, your payment has been approved.Your Username and Password will be sent to you in a separate email. You can login at http://www.socialmediatrainingsolutions.com If you have any trouble, please feel free to contact us.’ is sent as well! This is great! However, the auto-generated login and password email does not arrive! That’s the big problem. Any idea why S2Member is sending the payment confirmation email but not the login/password email? That’s the only thing that needs fixing now! Thanks, |

Hi Cristian! Thanks so much for fixing the ipn integration! If you have some time today, could you please make a test purchase on the site? The reason is that I want to create a thank you page that looks like the one that comes up when I now make a clickbank purchase, but I don’t know if there is an easy way to do this in S2Member. If there is, can you please let me know how to set it up? Clickbank requires a thank you page with all the information shown on the page I have currently set up. Do I absolutely have to point to an s2 member thank you page in order for the auto generated login and password email to work? Thanks!! Eva |

Hi Cristian, Thanks so much for taking a look. Here is a new credit card you can use to test and links to screenshots are below. [removed for security reasons] I’m also happy to send you my clickbank login details via private message if you want to poke around in there. On one page of their instructions, clickbank says: “With some programming languages the clickbank service API will require your system to possess a certificate for the following domain: *clickbank.com To acquire this certificate, simply go to the following URL, double click the authentication lock in the lower right hand corner of your browser, and save the certificate to your system https://api.clickbank.com/rest/1.2/orders I would try this, but I don’t see the lock they are talking about… Thanks,

Thanks, Cristian, OK- I looked at your article on email problems, installed the email log plugin and ran a test. I’m still experiencing the same problem and here is the text from the s2member-log file:
It’s a problem with my s2 configuration but I can’t tell what it is. Anything I should try next? Also, I had a thought… I’d doing ‘test’ transactions in clickbank with a fake clickbank creditcard. Will this affect the way the s2member auto generated email works? Thanks!

Hi Philly, Yes, I have just double checked and re-copied pasted the integration information including the clerk key, developer key and secret key. I’m still experiencing the same problem. Would you be able to take a look at my set-up to diagnose the issue if I send you my login credentials for clickbank and my website though a private message? Thanks, |

Well, actually I realize now that it’s actually downloading and not RTMP streaming. So, if you do have any ideas on how I can get the streaming to work, that would be great. I think with the setup I have now, people visiting the site can download the video, which is not what I want. Thanks, |

Hi Cristian, Well, guess what. It was an obvious error on my part. Although I made the bucket in Amazon S3 public, I forgot to make each individual file public. Once I did that, the problem was solved. Thanks for your help anyway! I really appreciate it!! Eva |

Hi Cristian, Yes to both. I did upload JW player to the directory as per the instructions and I did also watch the video, but had no luck getting my video to play. I kept getting an error regarding the stream not fount. So, I thought I would try the plugin for JW player instead and now I get the Task queue failed at step 5 error. I asked JW player what to do and they gave me the instructions I sent in my last post to you, but I’m not sure what to do with them as they are unclear to me. What do you think about their instructions? Have you seen this issue before and did that solution work? How do I go about putting that crossdomain file where they suggest? Thanks, Eva |

Just an update on this… I’ve installed the JW player plugin and it seems to be closer to working. The box shows up with the play button, but the video won’t play. I get an error message that says Task Queue Failed at Step 5. After emailing JW tech support, they suggested the following: You need a crossdomain.xml file here – http://easylinkedintrainingvideosfolder.s3-website-us-east-1.amazonaws.com/crossdomain.xml Currently one does not exist. Reference – http://www.adobe.com/devnet/articles/crossdomain_policy_file_spec.html Have you seen this before? Does this mean that another crossdomain.xml file is needed or do I simply add the same one? If you have any suggestions about how I can go about this, that would be great. I’m not sure how to add the file to where they suggest. Thanks, |

What can I say, Jason. You’re a total genius! I renamed my bucket and tried it all again. It all worked perfectly!!! I really appreciate all the time you spent looking into what the issue was on my server and creating a patch to help me. Thanks so much!! :-) Eva |

Hi Cristian! Yes, I did copy from the pem file because it was auto generated and I had to save it to my desktop, then open it with notepad to copy the contents (including all dashes) and paste it to the field in S2Member. I’ve even repeated the process. I now get an error that says: Error code: 400. Error Message: Unable to acquire existing Amazon® CloudFront Origin Access Identity. Unable to acquire existing Amazon® CloudFront Origin Access Identity. Bad Request Do you think the problem is with AWS? I have made sure that I have no distributions (I deleted the ones I created before) and so I have a set of files in a bucket in S3 but no distributions as I am waiting on S2Member to configure those for me. BUT, of course the problem is that I can’t seem to connect S2Member with AWS. Is there anything else in my S2Member configurations that I should check? Do I need to do or check anything in my Basic Download restrictions or any other part? Thanks< |

I realize it’s a different error message I get now (as reflected in the above post) but the issue is still the same- can’t configure cloudfront. I found another discussion trail on error 400 in the forum, which is now closed for posts, but I don’t understand what they did in the end to solve the issue. Here is the chain: http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/error-400/page/2/ Any help you can provide would be VERY appreciated!!! Eva |

Hi Jason, Okay, I figured out how to create a PHP file (I used notepad and notepad++) and I uploaded the php file with the code you specified above to my mu-plugins folder. I then went into the S2Member file download options, ticked the box to ask S2Member to automatically configure cloudfront distributions and… same error. Error code: 400. Error Message: Unable to acquire existing Amazon® CloudFront Origin Access Identity. Unable to acquire existing Amazon® CloudFront Origin Access Identity. Bad Request. Eva |

Thanks, Jason. I’ll give it a go! I’m not a developer, just an amateur trying my best so forgive the following stupid question please: how do I create the s2-hacks.php file or where do I get it from. Is there anywhere I can go for step-by-step instructions? I am able to get as far as creating am /mu-plugins/ folder in my wp-content directory using filezilla. After that I’m lost… Thanks! |

Hi, I’m having the exact same issue and it’s a mystery. I have also tried to deactivate and reactive the plugin (I too have the latest version), but that does not help. I repeatedly get: Error code: 400. Error Message: Unable to create Amazon® CloudFront Downloads Distro. Unable to create Amazon® CloudFront Downloads Distro. Bad Request. How can I fix this? I can’t move forward with launching my site until I can properly configure this. Thanks in advance! |
