What Aweber said was that the requests coming in were not following their rules. Otherwise they would have been placed on the list. They were really trying to get me to move away from parsers and have something custom coded using their API. So the email going to Aweber is formatted incorrectly, at least according to them. Yes, I turned on the ‘reverse DNS’ on my account as well. I appreciate you forwarding the request to Jason. I have been going back and forth with you on this since Sept. 25. This really is enough time to have solved this. It isn’t even something that should need to be solved as it is advertised as an out of the box feature. I see many others are having issues with it as well. I hope your future versions have it whipped. I however have spent the past 3 weeks working this out and failing. I have to move to another solution. Thanks again for all your help and patience. I know I did everything I could to accommodate you. Greg |

I have done all of those things. At this point I would like to request a refund. I have been more than patient and co-operative. The script simple does not work for me with the advertised ‘out of the box’ features. I haven’t asked for any special coding or tweaked anything. All of my settings match, system requirements are there. This is just not working as advertised. I think the integration with Aweber must be looked at and might need to be integrated using their new API system, it is an updated and better system to work with. It’s also more current. I know that technically there are not supposed to be refunds, but as a vendor myself, when things just won’t work, for whatever reason, there should be recourse. I am so disappointed that it didn’t, although every other membership script offers a refund within 30 days, I chose s2Member as you all had some features I was looking for ‘out of the box’. I hope you can understand where I am coming from. Please pass this along to who you have to so we can arrange the refund. It was purchased on Paypal and returning it there would be perfect. Thanks again for your help and I appreciate it. Greg |

Hi, Sorry for the delay. The only part of the process that does work is the test purchase from ClickBank. I (the vendor) get the success email. The buyer also gets their receipt. Followed the instructions on the thread. Now I have complete failure and no test purchase will go through. All attempts are reading that the purchase is associated with an Admin. NO, I am not logged in while testing. I even had my wife test from another computer. Same response. So I have NO idea if the Aweber workaround did work. Test Credit Card Number: 2222222783895111 Your test account and all info is still the same. Please help… I’m really at my wits end. The product is approved and ready for sale and I am really taking a financial hit as the s2Member is just not working correctly with the basic ‘out-of-the-box’ features. Thanks, Greg

I responded to the email with the Aweber access. **Please Note** I have created a new test c/c fro CB (time was about to run out on the other – you get like 22 hours with each one then they expire) Here is the test c/c info: 2222225273674854 EXP: 09/2013 CVC: 345 Thanks again.

Thanks. Please forward all the login information, test c/c info to him as well. You both have permission to change settings in the site and s2Member to run tests. I am hoping we can resolve this. Without the functionality all working, I can’t effectively use the script for what I purchased it for. Thanks for your efforts. They are GREATLY appreciated. Please pass to Jason that you and I have been working diligently on this for a week now. I am being patient and wanting to resolve this, but the time frame is hurting me financially. I’m a little frustrated because what isn’t working are features that come ‘stock’ with the plugin and I’m not trying to adapt the script to do something that wasn’t intended. I know you understand. Thanks again! I appreciate your patience. I’m looking forward to working with Jason. :) |

Yes, I have verified the Aweber list name was correct. Actually out of frustration, several times. I did not have the opt in checkbox option checked. It is working less now. It defaults to the s2Member thank-you page. (terrible) Actually, looking at the email logs in the site admin area…

Hi. I am not sure why you couldn’t log in. I just tested the WP login and they work fine. The log shows it going to Aweber, and to myself. However, still no emails placed on the list at Aweber. I just placed a test on the 2nd offer (first exit pop). I also just test purchased the third exit pop offer of the trial. I am beginning to lose faith.

I installed that plugin.
I fixed that and saved it. I ran 2 more test purchases. This time was different. I got less emails from the site. Now s2Member didn’t create any accounts or allow the test purchaser to create an account. The test purchase through ClickBank was successful. I did receive those emails from CB confirming the test purchase. Still no connection to Aweber. You still have the login to the site. I also reset the test c/c. The following test c/c info is good until 10/02/2012 08:51 AM PDT. I left your original test purchase in there so if you do another test purchase, either delete yourself or use another test email account please. (You already knew that, though :) ) Thanks again for the continued help. I really feel we are SOOOO close to solving this!!

I see what you mean. I corrected the custom parser and ran another test purchase with CB. All went well, except: I received the email form s2Member sending them to the registration page. It did go to the spam folder. I made adjustments to it as well, so I am not sure why. I was able to create an account (because I redirect everyone to an instructional page on how to do it). Unfortunately, still nothing in the Aweber list. I even went to the site a few more times, even using other browsers trying to trigger the wp-cron. I downloaded all the logs again and put them in the same spot for you to look at. (same zip and location as before) IS this a possible wp-cron issue? I seem to be getting the ClickBank sale with no issues and the accounts set up in s2Member, it just isn’t connecting to Aweber. What about some specific instruction on using the cPanel Cron feature. I could set that up rather than rely on wp-cron. I would just need to copy and paste it exactly from somewhere with a little instruction. The instructions now just mention sending a cron to a URL. Are there any more details anywhere?

Hi, LOL… I did have the zip in the above comment. Here is the URL for it: http://youknowthesitename.com/s2memberlogs.zip This is also some questions from the above comment I was hoping you could answer please:
I have also gone in and corrected the admin user account I set up for you to test with. Apparently I did not save the password correctly. Thanks again.

I sent it. IS this a possible wp-cron issue? I seem to be getting the ClickBank sale with no issues and the accounts set up in s2Member, it just isn’t connecting to Aweber. Is it the parser set up I used (screenshot included in the zip with the logs) correct? What about some instruction on using the cPanel Cron feature. I could set that up rather than rely on wp-cron. I would just need to copy and paste it exactly form somewhere with a little instruction. Thanks again. |

YES, quite sure I am NOT logged in as an admin. Thanks again. UPDATE: I ran another test: I made sure I was not the administrator. Here is a zip of the latest logs: I’ve also included a screenshot of MY email parser setup in Aweber. Hmmmm, Would one of the issues I am having have to do with the ‘Read’ access I have allowed at CB for s2Member. When I log into my account at CB and go to: Account Settings>My Account>Clerk API Keys… Here are the choices to tick off: What should I be ticking off? I know the docs say to allow read access. I have that one ticked and it isn’t sending the confirmation email from s2Member and not placing the buyer on the Aweber list. Should I also be giving the Notifications API access? Thanks. |

Thanks for the follow up –
No, I didn’t get that email. I got several others, but not that one. It’s all filled out, I’m not sure why it didn’t fire. I got other emails that were sent from my server. New Test customer = s2Member Level 1 (I only have one level of membership and I did set it up on level 1)
I did. I believe I copied it exactly as on the link you provided. Hard to tell about the spacing of some of the characters, but I copied the test, put it through the testing area Aweber provides and it all came through like the pictures and seems to be fine.
Yes.
I figured. When testing (NOT logged in as admin at the same time) I can do this. Make a successful purchase, then create an account with s2Member and log in. I am not getting the one email from the system to direct me.
The emails I set up in this section are coming through.
It does. Thanks again. :) |
