I don’t know if this will help, but this is an example of a refund I initiated on my paypal account for a test user, but the automatic EOT didn’t prevent the charge from occurring again the next billing period. I’m wondering if the part at the very bottom of the log where it says Unable to verify `$_SERVER[“HTTP_HOST”] is what’s causing me problems. LOG ENTRY: Thu Jun 13th, 2013 @ precisely 3:19 am UTC |

I’ve issued a refund for that test user before too, but that user is still getting charged (the test period was weekly), so apparently the Automatic EOT is not working either. If I understand it correctly, the issuance of a refund should automatically trigger the EOT, which I have enabled, and should close out the test user (who, again, paid with a credit card) as well as stop the recurring billing. |

And Bruce, if this is at all helpful, my PayPal Manager is not showing any recurring billing profiles, in case it should. It does show the transactions taking place, on the home page, but no actual recurring profiles. I don’t know if that’s a problem or not. |

Bruce, thank you for your response, but it actually doesn’t answer my question. I followed the instructions on the link and it DOES show my recurring subscription customers …. my PAYPAL customers. It does NOT show my test customer that paid for the subscription using a credit card and completed the transaction on the website. That’s the problem I’m having, is that I cannot see those customers who paid with credit card on my paypal “My Customers” page. It is something that I absolutely need to know how to do if something happens with a potential customer of mine in the future, and definitely something I want to halt for my “test” customer because its currently charging my credit cards still. Thanks, |

Yeah, I’d really love a response on this issue too. I am having this exact same issue. On my test runs, I click to use PayPal (I am using PayPal Pro, Payflow edition and using S2Member Pro Checkout Page) and it takes me to the Paypal payment page, but there is NOTHING in terms of a description … just says Future payment. PLEASE … this is the last thing I need to fix before I go live on my site, I would really love to get some feedback on this. |

Just with an update: I got the recurring billing to work! I have no idea what I did, but I got the payflow form to process my credit card and create my membership as a unique user on the site. I have no idea what I did, but thankfully I didn’t have to go through that other process of setting up the payflow link because I had no idea what was going on there. I’ll recap for others who are having the same problem. To recap my problems so others with the same problem can avoid my mistakes: Inhale, exhale. It pays to be a winner. Hopefully, you won’t be hearing from me again, for my sake and for yours. Brandon |

Hi Cristian, Thanks for the response. So, no, I don’t get the response after trying to pay with a pro-form. I get at PayPal’s site. I get this when I first log into my paypal account, then I click the PayPal manager link (aka the PayFlow gateway, right?) to log in to that. I log in correctly just fine, and I’m at my PayPal manager/Payflow Gateway site. Mind you, I have purchased the recurring billing option/add on through the “Payflow Link” for that Payflow Gateway account. Now, the “Your Account Status” of that Payflow gateway is saying that it is in test status, and I have to click on the big “Activate” button on the top right rand side to actually activate that Payflow link. Now, once I do that it makes me go through this 1.) Merchant Agreement; 2.) Payment Information; 3.) Next Steps (which I will post below): Merchant Agreement Transaction Settings Maximum Transaction Amount: $ Then, once I click the continue button, the next page says this: Payment Processor Information Tender Types Then it gives me the option of choosing which payment processors (such as FDMS Nashville, Elavon, FDMS North/South, Global Payments Central/East, Heartland, Litle and Co., Merchant e-Solutions, Moneris … and a few more) that I supposedly am using with my EXISTING internet merchant account. The problem is .. I don’t have an existing internet merchant account with any of those providers, and I don’t even know what they’re talking about. Any ideas? Thanks, |
