Dear Eduan,

This plugin looks very interesting and I will give it a try.

This however brings me to another issue I have with s2Member related to the roles. I want users to be able to post articles but I noticed that there is the option to restrict which membership level can see that particular post (“Post Level Restriction”).

I do not want to allow this. Would “Role Editor” resolve this or can you suggest a better solution.

Also if I set the user level to “Author” (I used the s2-hacks.php work around), the logged in user sees all media including what the “Administrator” published. I expected that only the creator of the post, comment and media can only see their own items and not that of others. How can you avoid this?

Thank you again for your help.

Dear Eduan,
I found the problem. Very simple isssue if you know what to look for. I made a mistake in the setup for WP under Settings > General > WordPress Address (URL) I have http://www.domainname.com and under Site Address (URL) I had http://domainname.com. This caused a conflict for s2Member when it came to recognizing the user being logged in. Now the s2Member plugin functions as it should.

Both URLs need to be exactly the same.

I found the solution here;

Sorry if I waisted your time but thank you for your efforts to help me.

Dear Eduan, Thank you for your reply. Below is what I have.

1. only have page name selected no URL defined.

2. The page id is 156 but when I tried to load the browser with that page it went to page id 158 which is the membership welcom page. Is this due to the s2member requiring the user to be loggged in? Anyway here is the URL that comes up when you try to go directly to the login page.
