Please add a date picker and more date format options to the feature request list.

In the meantime, it would be a whole lot less confusing if s2member’s select option used something like ‘xx/yy/zzzz’ for indicating the format instead of the dd, mm and yyyy that has a well-recognized meaning.

Hi Bruce,

Related to this, I require a date-based custom registration field in the USA format of mm/dd/yyyy. Unfortunately, the date format selected in WordPress’ Date Format setting is not impacting s2members’ expected format option for the custom registration/profile field. That is, the s2member’s expected format select field option for Date remains dd/mm/yyyy no matter which date format I choose (and save) in the WordPress setting. Any ideas on what is going on with this?

In addition, my preference is to have WordPress’ date format with the month written out (e.g. May 6, 2013) but I figure that users will be more comfortable entering the date information in the slash format (or, ideally, using a date picker). In this situation, I would expect s2member to give me the choice of both dd/mm/yyyy and mm/dd/yyyy in the selections for the expected date format.

Many thanks in advance,
Sofia

Never mind! I figured out how to use ‘Widget Logic’ to do it!

Thank you for taking the time to respond, Jason.

As I mentioned previously, the issue is not one of restricting individual event pages, but one of restricting the event information from appearing in pages that aggregate the event content, such as the calendar page or the upcoming events widget.

S2member’s URI restriction capabilities do not keep the event information from the aggregate page and widget.

In addition, the URI format used by this particular calendar does not distinguish events based on s2member levels or even categories so it makes it impossible to use a URI pattern that allows me to separate out public events and member-only events.

I think I need to look for a calendar plugin that will work better with S2member. Do you know of any?

Thank you,
Sofia

Thanks for the suggestion, Jason.

I tried URI Restriction with the same result – works at the event detail page level but not for the ‘upcoming events’ widget or the main calendar page.

Example URIs for individual event pages are: /?ai1ec_event=62-2&instance_id=11 and /?ai1ec_event=trial-event-1&instance_id=9
Any pointers you can provide are greatly appreciated.

Sofia
