Yeh but the only thing I noticed with that is if you put in a fake paypal id then it breaks paypal, or so it says in the explanation.

I’ve used this plugin like in the kb, Enhanced Capability Manager and it’s done the job. You just need to understand the check boxes for it which are explained more on wordpress codex pages. Cheers mate

Think I might be able to resolve this by having open registration and then upgrading the ‘Student’ manually. While allowing all other users to pay for Level 1 access publicly (or atleast free subscription at the moment)
