Sorry I got it wrong, I believe this one is for the staff. Hopefully, Eduan can take a look and provide his expert take.

Sorry,

Cache expiration time is set at the default 3600.

Permissions on WP-Content–>>Cache is 755

In WP-Cron is this the php file?? I went into those permissions and they are set at 644.

If your talking about something else as you mentioned “enabled” is this something I can change or does the host need to implement this?

Thanks,

Don

In WordPress set up your navbar through Custom Links in the menu portion of your theme. “Appearance” –>>”Menus”

Create a menu –>>Save Menu–>>Custom Links–>>URL to your landing page (open to the public presumably)–>>Fill in your Label (i.e.Member Login)–>>Add to Menu (the one you just created)–>>Go to Pages in the left sidebar below Custom Links and add what other pages you wish to have in the NavBar ensuring they are available to the public. Make sure you “Save Menu” again to ensure it works.

It might look like this–>>http://createaniche.net/

If your landing page is open to the public you would have a Paypal button for subscribers yet you still offer an easy Member Login link too.

I took the “registration” link out and left the Paypal button in place with instructions to register through Paypal.

Thanks,

Don

So even if you must pay for registration the “Open Registration” must be set to Yes, is that correct? I don’t allow free subscribers.

For now I’m deactivating all Quick Cache plugins. Thanks for your assistance.

These are young sites I’m discussing. One has 14 posts and 34 pages. Comments are closed. And while I’m checking the number of posts/pages on the other site I’m testing, the one with the plugin still activated, I received the “Forbidden – Site Not Available” in the browser.

After clearing the cache in the CPanel I’m now able to get into the WP Admin area as the site came back. See cache screenshot below.

That site contains 14 posts and 48 pages, comments closed. Isolating the two sites, one with the Quick Cache on/one off the one using the plugin is not working correctly.

Instead of turning everything off and switching themes I started with a simpler approach first.

I have 20 sites. In the two that have been having this problem I turned off Quick-Cache and the other left it on.

Over night I let everything run and this morning the site with the Quick-Cache deactivated had an empty WP-Content–>>Cache folder.

In the site with the plugin on the WP-Content–>>Cache folder had a number of items in the folder, not too full to forbid access to the site. I went into the site WP admin and manually hit the “clear cache” button, return to the respective WP-Content–>>Cache folder and reloaded it. It was now cleared except for qc-1-mutex.lock.

I perform this exercise in two other sites and the respective WP-Content–>>Cache folder was cleared only after manually clearing the cache in the WP-admin for those sites.

It looks like Quick-Cache is not automatically or otherwise clearing the cache.
