I installed the S2 Pro this morning and used a pro form to set up new user registration and now it all runs like a Swiss watch!

Thanks for the help.

The button was generated by S2member using the tool that is part of the admin dashboard. I still don’t understand why there is a problem since I used the Buddypress native template and installed S2 with no modifications so why wouldn’t the registration process just work?

After purchasing a membership the person needs to fill in the registration form to create a username and password when returned to the site from Paypal. That part should be academic.

I’ll purchase the pro version so I can get formal support for this issue.

If this is fixable does it make sense to buy the pro version and get some focused support?

Hi Eduan,

The website has Buddypress installed and that is where the issue is, between BP and S2. I have installed S2Member on other sites (no Buddypress) and it works just fine.

I ran another test signup through Paypal. After Paypal successfully charges the credit card it shows a link to return to the site (and sends an email) with a shortened version. The url is very long and integrates with S2member. That link shows a page with another link that says “Please Register Now (Click Here)” and should take you to this page:

http://www.domain.com/wp-login.php?action=register

But is getting redirected to this:

http://www.domain.com/register/

How do I fix this this?

I am having the same issue. The Paypal registration process works and creates the registration page url but clicking to register returns you to the original signup page with the Paypal button. It is behaving as though the URL requires member access but of course you aren’t a member yet and not logged and get returned to the signup page.
