Ok Eduan. I’ll let you know when he’s updated the plugin. It’s certainly been fixed in my build so I can confirm it works. I’ll keep you posted. :)

Sorry to butt in chaps!

Its annoying how bbpress puts all the posts from all forums in the same directory. Not being able to use a URI to filter out the threads is very frustrating. I’m tempted to install another plugin alongside s2member to tackle the problem, but I really dont like the idea of having two membership plugins installed at the same time. That’s just asking for trouble.

If s2member can figure a way to protect all threads inside a restricted bbpress forum, that would be just fabulous. :)

The plugin is a paid security system called WpOptimix. The firewall component was causing it. The developer of that plugin was very helpful. He fixed the problem very quickly and assured me the fix will be in the next update.

Thanks for your help Eduan

Do you think download count limits on single files might be a feature added sometime in the future?

And thanks for the conditionals tip. That’s a very useful feature.

EDIT

Seems like I found the problem. Unsurprisingly, another plugin was causing a conflict. Sorry about that. :)

Hi Cristian. Thanks for getting back to me.

We have been using our site without the “www” since the beginning. The only reason we decided to switch was so we could use cloudflare which insists the site must be ‘www’.

Ive checked the the login_welcome_page, which is blank in our settings. But the Redirection URL is indeed pointing at the front page. This was causing the problem. If I left this blank then the page remains unrestricted.

Thanks very much for your guidance. I appreciate it.

I’m very curious about exactly the same thing. There seems to be no way to select all the posts in a specific forum. I’m keen to hear what advice is offered.

Thanks Cristian. I have asked them. They say it’s not a problem and will flag it as ok in their database. So, it’s all good! :)
