I would also like to remove “display name” since “username” already does the job of giving the user a way of hiding his full identity. Is there any solution for this yet?

Thanks,
Demian

Hi Cristián, what I don´t get is this:

The hack you posted above includes the way to translate a few words (account, password …) but obviously there are much more included in the pro forms. Are you saying we should look up all the strings we want to translate and then include them along the lines of “else if ($original === ‘xxxx’) $translated = ‘xxx’;

Also: is there a sure way to detect text strings within php files that show to a user?

Further, I don´t understand what to think and do with the long code that Cornelia Esther (lars) posted on monday 27th. Should I understand what it is all about?

Thanks,
Demian

Also you can try and ask a user that has translated s2member one year ago into spanish if the is willing to share his file. You could still modify the parts that you want to be different. Look him up here: http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/translation/

Hi Angel,

Since I myself am translating s2member (first German, later Spanish) I will look into this. But bevor that: I guess it is better if you post this topic in the COSTUMER FORUM since you are a paid customer. This forum here depends more on the help of community members …

Thanks,
Demian

Hi Christian,

just to be sure: Where it says $translated there should follow the translated words?

Thanks,
Demian

Hi Miguel, are you sure that this exact text string was translated via Poedit? Have you translated all the pieces of text that appear on the front end or have you tried to translate only the submit form?

Hope this gets resolved soon,
Demian

Hi, I also need to do a lot of translation but I like a plugin over Poedit. It is called: Codestyling Localization. See website here: http://www.code-styling.de/english/development/wordpress-plugin-codestyling-localization-en

Does anybody here have experiences with it?

On a sitenote: Is there a .po or .mo file for German or Spanih somebody could share?

Thanks,
Demian
