I’m currently trying to find the answer to your first question as well. I believe the best option is to write a re-direct script that hooks into the paypal return after payment hook. That script would re-direct new users to whatever page you set up (ie. registration). I’m testing all the hooks I can find to see which works best for me. So I don’t know what the hook is yet, unfortunately. My situation is a little different because I have the members sign up first. The hooks for paypal returns can be found here: Unfortunately, right now most don’t have very good documentation about their location in the process beyond the name of the hook. As far as the e-mails go, S2member has the option to edit the new user welcome e-mail by going here: Change New User Email Configuration to “Yes” and two links will appear that you can click on to change the message for the user and the admin if you want. Hope that helps! Dave |

I don’t have that option standard on my integration. Do you buddy press or something else installed as well? What is your website and I’ll see if I can take a look. Dave |

1. wordpress has the functionality built in to search your users as an admin. I’m not 100% sure what fields it searches by, but I don’t believe it includes any custom fields from s2member. 2. There is no option to make your user directory available to users or the public to browse. Probably because many would see it as a privacy issue. So if you want to do something like that, you would have to custom code it. I assume any search you would be doing you would have to custom code as well. Dave |

To my knowledge wordpress does not have this function natively. Neither does S2Member. The S2Member registration/profile custom field generator does not have the option of file uploading either. Therefore, you would need to find another plugin that will handle that piece of the profile creation or code a plugin yourself (or have someone do it) that hooks into the profile form without messing up your s2member form fields. Are you signing in as the admin? In my experience, no matter what the re-direct is set for, the admin always is re-directed to the back end admin screen. Are you allowing users to edit their profiles using the standard wordpress profile page? That might be another reason it’s re-directing there. However, if you are logging in as a user and the Welcome page is set correctly, there shouldn’t be an issue. Dave |

I’ve never had that issue. What steps did you take to install it? Dave |

There are a couple of places you can add page restrictions. Assuming you are using the latest version, I think there were some changes to where some of these things were found in previous versions. 1. S2Members settings: If you know the “id’s” of the pages you want to protect, you can add them under S2member -> Restriction Options -> Page Access Restrictions 2. When you edit a page, in the upper right corner there should be an s2member option box that gives a drop down to select the page level of restriction and any custom capabilities. Hope that helps!
