Hi Jason, I was testing it with a PayPal consultant at the time of this error so that he could see. They are investigating. I have a question though… Was your test done through PayPal Pro form, or just express? I can create a express button and it works fine. Although it does direct to the page /create afterwards which doesn’t exist (can I change that if I need to setup a backup payment?) One thing the technician mentioned was something about my $1 transaction being recorded as a $1, but then $0 gets sent to PayPal as a request, if that makes any sense.. |

That’s awesome Jason thank you…
Correct, only seems to happen with paypal express transactions. However, I setup a special offer with Paypal Express buttons only, and that seems to work just fine. I’ve sent the previous thread over to the technician that’s been reviewing this from Paypals side, but won’t hold my breath on that. Thanks, look forward to your feedback. |

Thanks. Yes, I have the latest version up. My wp-login.php is patched as described, although it says that it isn’t and permissions are set to 777. /wp-includes/ms-functions.php is also not patching right now Members are also not being upgraded, they are being made participants instead of s1 members when they upgrade. Not sure if a plugin is doing this, can bbpress have something to do with that? (changing roles?) |

Here’s the other thing that’s up lately… Members aren’t getting upgraded once they pay (the credit cards are still working, just not paypal) This some how related? |

I’m on Wp version 3.4.2 and just upgraded to the latest S2Member version. The logging wasn’t enabled, so just did that. That option is purely just for logging the data in the log file isn’t it? |

Hi Chase, yes that’s the one for $25 per month. It takes a while to get approved, but it’s worth it and they’ll put you in touch with the right people personally. So you won’t need to do anymore running around finding help from clueless staff. Curious, what are you paying for the Payflow account? |

yes, but then it’s fixed to that one page. So if you’re doing one time offers etc, it’s not going to work. I just pulled the plug on this, just couldnt take it any longer. The guys at loginradius are really great, but I had too many ongoing problems to keep this going. It crashed my site the other day and some members had random attempts to use it which never worked. Then after surveying my members, most said they didnt use it. It was a costly exercise, but personally I had to let it go. The two are separate but link up some how. I think that Payflow only really matters for recurring payments (I Could be wrong, but Paypal Pro worked perfectly without it, I just couldnt accept recurring payments) |

Hey Chase, yes my Paypal Pro account is linked to my Payflow. I first only had a Paypal Pro account, then I realized I couldnt accept recurring payments, so I went back to them and they had to activate Payflow for that to work. Sounds like yours was done the other way round? I’m sure it”s the same then.. |

I have Loginradius working (after months and a few grand spent). It’s still not perfect though. Loginradius has it’s own redirect or stay on same page after registration function which tends to override what you specify in S2member. |

@Chase it does take a while to get and work through their procedures, so you have to be patient in the process. They do all the standard checks that get done when anyone applies for a merchant account. But they were really helpful even had a technician call me to make sure I got everything setup correctly. |

Correct, it’s a Paypal Pro account. I’ve had it for about 4 months now actually. But to have the recurring work, you do need to ask them to activate Payflow. I thought this would be extra but it was included fortunately. Not sure if they’ve changed that though. |

Just to add, I’m using Paypal Standard now as I’ve just realized that Paypal Pro is not offering recurring billing, except for with Payflow Pro which in my opinion is a rip off in Australia. |

I am busy with developers to get this configured, there are a few problems however: – Social registrations do not assign proper levels to S2member which causes problems on redirects to membership page (see this thread) – Loginradius works with wp-signup.php which opens up to a whole bunch of spam, trying to get around that. – Loginradius works well, but uses it’s own redirect’s and doesnt integrate with features like upsells and redirects on logins (which goes back to the first thread).. |
