Thanks for the help Eduan, so I think I have solved my problem. It seems to have been a conflict with s2member and theme my login plugin

Posted: Wednesday May 22nd, 2013 at 10:31 pm #50409

Ok so unfortunately the problem seems to remain. Users are being redirected and registered at the root domain instead of the right subsite…this is a problem because after the user pay’s they don’t get access to the content they paid for and I have to manually add them to the correct subsite.

Possible workaround?

Step 1, Disable automatic redirection after the user has paid to be paypal but rather having the user obtain the registration url from the confirmation email.

So my question: is there a way to disable the automatic redirection from paypal?

Step 2, Change to the registration url sent in the paypal confirmation email from the automatically generated ( %%registration_url%%) to manually adding the url to the correct subsite registration page (domain.com/subsite1/wp-login.php?action=register)

My question for step 2: Is will s2member still recognize that this is a paying customer if I manually add the correct registration url in the paypal confirmation email?

Hope to get some feedback on my 2 questions, thanks for taking the time to read my post!

Hi Eduan, well then in that case it seems to be a bug since the paypal button generator in s2member keeps giving me the “domain.com”. I’l try changing it to “domain.com/sub” and see what happens, hopefully the issue will be fixed.
Once again thanks for the help Eduan!

Hi Eduan thanks for taking the time! Below is the shortcode I’m using:

Hi Raam, thanks for taking the time to answer but it kind of confused me..its kind of hard for me to test it since I don’t have the pro version.

The ability to have a registration form with S2member pro-form, and another with the regular buddypress registration form with completely different set of fields would be the main reason for me getting the pro version.

So I would like to know if that’s possible with s2member pro before buying it.

Sincerely, Jaime

Please let me know if the scenario previously explained works with the pro version.

Basically what im trying to do is to have two set of registration procedures with my buddypress site, teachers signing up trough pro form and students signing up trough the regular buddypress registration process. These forms would have different fields that would show in the users buddypress member profile.

Is this possible?

The second question I have is there a way to display users that have signed up trough the s2member pro from on a list, kind of a directory of members with links to their profile page?

Sorry for being impatient im on on a deadline with this school project and need to know if I should get the pro version or look for a different solution.

Thanks for the help,

Jaime

I see, one solution for me would be to have a set of users register trough the regular buddypress registration form with one set of fields and another set of user registering form trough the s2member pro from with other set of registration fields. Is it possible to have these two different registration options with the pro version?

Also is there a way to list users registering trough the s2member pro form on a page or list so users can view other members profile?

appreciate all the help.

I’m wondering about this as well, does the pro version support this?
