Hello The Golden Warriors of Light,

Thank you for your quick response. I would love to port it all over to s2member (which i love) but i haven’t figured out how to create and control the creation and management of keyed protected download URLs and the process from button to delivery of expiring keyed ip’d (actually allowing up to 5 ip address to download). Do you know of any REALLY SPECIFIC STEP BY STEP TUTORIALS? I looked at the s2member video tutorial and at the docs for creating key links but i am flummoxed on how to create and manage them.

thanks again,
Arthur

TY again… initially i had Congratulation in the subject line and believe this may have been an issue.

Based on your suggestion I am the instruction u in the login or sign up screen and to the blocked areas that redirect to different content in the middle of page for those not signed in or member level 1 or above… Brilliant idea..

I love s2member it is the Bomb let me know if you need endorsement. Also would love to apply for virtual work if you ever have the need… This is the future available today because of the s2member team…

Eduan,

Excellent suggestion… Is there anything you see in my subject line which would trigger a spam filter? I am open to suggestions… In fact is there a subject word or phrase glossary to beware of ?

Thanks for your help.

is there anyone out there who is familiar with Open/Closed Registration? I would really like to find the documentation that describes what the proper way to move from open registration to closed and what the implication would be to all 0 Level members? Also would be cool to find an implementation tutorial to move from OPEN to CLOSED.

I just noticed in the feed URL http://erichschiffmann.com/podcast page the s2member-files URL is revealed completely.
http://erichschiffmann.com/wp-content/plugins/s2member-files/s2member-file-remote/s2member-file-inline/s2member-skip-confirmation-n/s2member-file-storage-local/access-s2member-level0/2012/11/2012-11-15a_be-relaxed-Talk-vc.mp3

does this present a security issue if people can easily see full mob rewrite address and code and is this maskable if it is a security issue?

Posted: Wednesday Nov 28th, 2012 at 5:33 pm #32831

Remote Authorization using a mob rewrite and blubrry is working with iTunes. When subscribing it asks for s2member login & password. But i can’t get it to work on any of the android podcast player apps or iPad itunes. on the android players it sees the podcast it subscribes fine with no password and when you try to download it has file not found error. How can i get user name and password into play on androids and itunes on ipad & iphone…. please help…

hi Cristian,

This solution sounds perfect… Can the condition be written to apply to all 2032 errors or you may not have permission” JW Player responses to error? Is there a video or tutorial on how to

Do you mean the protected files? They do take you to the Membership Options page. If you’re opening with a player, though, the player will be sent to the page and since it’s not a media file, it’d give an error. You may want to look at how to customize the player’s errors. Or just show the player to those with enough access, wrapping it with a conditional. Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Simple/Shortcode Conditionals

I love s2member great plugin..

Hi Raam,

Thank you for your help…

Problem solved here is the answer:

I totally love the speed on WPEngine and they live up to the word of amazing custom help.

Hi Cristián,

Thank you for getting back quickly.

I ran the php diagnostics.
This was all that it returned everything else passed. I have changed wp-config to 64m using auto fix and reran scan all passed. Problem still a problem both for JW Player & browser remote authorization.

Notice[NOTICE] WordPress® Memory Limit
AUTO-FIX!dismiss?
Although NOT required, s2Member® recommends that you raise your WordPress® memory limit (please set: WP_MEMORY_LIMIT in /wp-config.php), to at least 64M (i.e. 64 megabytes). Please see: this how-to article. Or consult with your web hosting company about this message. Your current memory limit allows only: 32M

Also this site worked perfectly at godaddy and bluehost i am trying to leave them both because success of the site (erichschiffmann.com) and their indifference to service. So i know that my mob rewrites for protected files work. Also non protected mp3 and mp4 files outside of s2-member-file folders work fine too.

Try this link that used to ask for login when loaded in browser it is returning 404 error

http://erichschiffmann.com/wp-content/plugins/s2member-files/s2member-file-inline/s2member-skip-confirmation-no/s2member-file-remote/s2member-file-storage-local/access-s2member-level0/2012/06/2012-06-21a_riding-a-big-wave.mp3

I am pretty sure this is a server issue so i may just need to know what to tell the support people at WPengine.com hosting… Thank you for your assistance and this awesome plugin.

Thanks for the heads up and i will see if i can figure out how to write custom error message which appear in JWplayer screen 2032 or the link and access are cryptic plus would prefer error didn’t show link structure. BUT it would be really cool if someone doesn’t have member access is encouraged to upgrade when trying to play clip… I know i could lock down page player is on but would prefer not to so non members can see what they are missing.

Thank you for your help love the plugin and looking forward to getting it up and running.

Everything seems to be working not sure what fixed everything but this is the final .htaccess & php5.ini that works at bluehost… i knitted together by searching all of the different users out their… thank you for your help truly from a newbee.

Also it would be great in the future if the mob rewrite when failed doesn’t show actual mob-rewrite link in the browser player window… not good to reveal path and actual short code…don’t you think?

TY

just out of curiosity do you know what this would do in an htacccess file?

RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L]

i found it in my htaccess file… i know i didn’t put it there intentionally… any thoughts just seems odd…

Good morning Sam

Great suggestion to contact Jason; But I have found no way to get any message to him. Can i ask a favor that if you have the access that as a favor you can forward this thread… I hope the site starts to generate enough cashflow so we can move to pay version but that isn’t and option at the moment and hard to justify when product is having issues that are systemic to a server install on a large hosting company “BlueHost”

If not, then it has to do something with the bluehost config setup. There may be a hook to by-pass some host restrictions. It would be a good idea to email Jason and see what he says. (S2M Support)

TY again,
arthur

ty a pleasure to meet.

Posted: Tuesday Jun 26th, 2012 at 3:12 am #17486

i know both links are working in browser now not sure why… just before they were both pulling 500 errors. Could this be that i just moved and only switched nameservers about 18 hours ago? Also where can i email Jason and should i send him this thread or something more?

Posted: Tuesday Jun 26th, 2012 at 2:34 am #17479

TY so much for your help and patience… I am totally in gratitude for your kindness and grasp of the issue…

yes there is a .htaccess i can paste it here if it is safe to do….

Posted: Tuesday Jun 26th, 2012 at 1:51 am #17472

This Mob-Rewrite worked in all browsers and android phone firefox before move to Bluehost and would do remote authorization if you weren’t signed on and now in a browser it pulls a 500 Server error… this is without even touching the site except for authorization…. this is now broken and nothing else has changed….

http://erichschiffmann.com/wp-content/plugins/s2member-files/s2member-file-inline/s2member-skip-confirmation-no/s2member-file-remote/s2member-file-storage-s3/access-s2member-level2/Y_Yoga_Movie_640x360.mp4

as far as MySql migration… I backed up at godaddy, Bluehost talked me through Database creation on their server and then we imported from Godaddy backup… with no errors.

This is Amazon S3… i spoke to them today and they said it was s2member issue not them… and they say that the Amazon Access Key and Secret Access Key look fine.

I checked and
Amazon says key is good and it does authorize intermittently…

Did you get the audio to play after a few attempts seeing 2032?

why would the jplayer issue only show up on Bluehost it worked just fine before the move from Godaddy to Bluehost.

DrByte,

ty for your quick response….

Actually more info to report…

pretty sure i flushed permalinks changing on Settings-Permalink first to default then back to month and name. Then Cleared Cache… is there someplace else to flush (in s2member or somewhere else)?

The files that are in local s2member-files folder after initially coming up with ERROR# 2032 will load and play inline in JPlayer no problem …. but it takes 2 – 3 clicks for it to cycle through ERROR# 2032…

Also contacted amazon and everything is fine on their end no changes. But Links will not Authorize at all since move. It didn’t even authorize command line in browser and now i have gotten it to play a few times but not consistently… I can send a copy of the .htaccess files if that would help… i am flummoxed.

this is the only site that i have that is making any income… ty for your help… also let me know if you need login to observe issues.
