The server check tool just looks at the WP_MEMORY_LIMIT or WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT to see if there’s enough memory. These can be set by the user to fool the server check tool. In the last release of S2Member Pro, it looks like a strange check has been added though that
So, if you want to fool the upgrader code, you have to find out this value: ini_get(“memory_limit”) (which you can do by using ‘echo phpinfo()’) And then set WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT in your wp-config.php file to match it.

What about adding these two lines to the HTACCESS file: RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^action=register$ So, it would automatically redirect this: http://mysite.com/wp-login.php?action=register to this: http://mysite.com/myregistration?action=register J |

Ok. I figured this one out. You add the plugin “User Role Editor” to WordPress. When you go to the admin panel for User Role Editor, You select the level you want to add CC’s to from the dropdown menu. Then you scroll to the bottom of the page to the “Add New Capability” box. You add the CC there, but you don’t use the simple string that you’d use for Paypal The CC you need to put in the “Add New Capability” box is then: access_s2member_ccap_oneyearsub So, add that, go check the checkbox for it and click the update button for the role. That only works if I never add new CC’s to Level 1. What if I add three new CC’s to level 1? I can’t I need a way to add the CC’s to the Level 2 role. J |

I’m confused. What is the point of creating a different registration form if it doesn’t become *the* If a user can trivially enter the other reg page, by putting mysite.com/wp-login.php?action=register into J |

Awesome. Thanks. That works. Is there a way to add an entry to the select menu that is not selectable? For example, I might want a country menu that has the most common entries on top with a divider, e.g. CN|CHINA |

In your Quick Start guide for Paypal forms, it says: If you decide NOT to acquire a PayPal® Pro account, and instead integrate ONLY with PayPal® Express Checkout, please understand the following limitation. PayPal® Express Checkout is intended to facilitate payments for PayPal® account owners and/or Customers willing to signup for PayPal® during checkout. It is NOT possible for a Customer to go through PayPal® Express Checkout without having and/or acquiring a PayPal® account, regardless of the transaction type ( i.e. Buy Now functionality is no exception to this rule ). That makes no sense. I talked to Paypal and they said that standard business accounts can process credit Using the Sandbox, I am able to buy something using just a credit card (and not having a paypal account or signing up for one). Here’s what I’m seeing with Pro Forms: My testing only pertains to BN (Buy Now) transactions. If I try to accept all credit cards and Paypal using the Pro Form, I’ll As mentioned above I have to edit Once I do that, the user sees this in the pro form: So they can only accept Paypal at this point. HOWEVER, once they go to Paypal, they see this: So they can checkout without having a Paypal account. This seems potentially confusing to the user if they want to checkout without using Paypal.

In “Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Quick Start Guide” it says: *PayPal® Pro is NOT Absolutely Required* s2Member is very flexible. It is now possible to integrate Pro Forms without a PayPal® Pro account, whereby the enhanced Form Shortcodes that s2Member provides can be integrated ONLY with PayPal® Express Checkout. In other words, if you get declined for PayPal® Pro service, you can still use s2Member Pro Forms. Ask PayPal® to activate Express Checkout for you. ( it’s free )…….” I called Paypal and they said that, with a Business Standard Paypal account, you don’t have to “turn on” J

Thanks for the response, Raam. If we follow those steps, do we get Coupon Code functionality and the Also, does this mean that a customer CANNOT pay with a credit card at checkout time? J

Thanks. Yes, I’m aware of that. I was hoping that I could do it (much more elegantly) from the box in the image abvoe. Maybe instead of putting “bigfun, dancecard” I could put “bigfun|dancecard” to mean “bigfun” OR “dancecard”. Oh well. J

Hi Cristian, Yes, I know how to search forums. I am not using multisite. I have no existing Cloudfront distributions. Can you please provide complete details on how to log the back-and-forth between S2member and Amazon web services so I can see what the actual messages look like? Cheers |

Is there a way to see the actual web services calls that s2member is sending to/from Amazon web services? I could hack the code, but surely there is some debug flag and/or logging mechanism (?) |

S3 works fine. A file like http://mysite.com/?s2member_file_download=somefile.zip redirects to S3 correctly and downloads. |

Yes, I watched that video. But I know that I didn’t make any obvious errors because I used all the same credentials with the non-pro version of s2member on Localhost and it auto-configured fine. Next steps? |

There is nothing in that thread that seems to pertain to my problem. I have no Cloudfront distributions setup. I just created a new S3 bucket, but that didn’t change anything. Next steps? |

I installed the free version of S2member on localhost (using MAMP), and, using all the same credentials, everything worked perfectly. This suggests that the problem might have something to do with my ISP’s PHP configuration. It’s PHP 5.2.17 compiled with openssl and fopen URLs are turned on — is there anything else I need to look for? |
