Hi Eduan.

Thanks, I’m looking into the User Role Editor plugin now… but that seems to create a blanket right to all Level N members.

While I want some Level 1 members to have author rights, I do not want all Level 1 members to have author rights… do you know right off hand if that can be accomplished with the URE plugin mentioned above?

Thanks,
Buck

I have a question inspired by this topic.

If I have an unrestricted post, and place the [s2If is_user_logged_in()] code within that post, will the s2If content be restricted, or not?

This evening I performed a clean install, building the site only with plugins essential to bbpress. I logged in as admin, level 0, level 1, 2, 3, and 4. All of the public posts were viewable by all levels, and that’s exactly what I needed.

This is solved, and not related to s2member at all.

Thank you — I figured if it was s2member then I would have simply been missing an internal setting.

I’ll investigate the bbpress/buddypress support pages on this.

Thank you.

URI Restrictions for Level 0 are:
/members/
/activity/
/messages/
/profile/
/friends/
/settings/

No URI restrictions are assigned for Levels 1-4.

I’m afraid this was one site I had not created on a testing server before going live, but fortunately it was still only in the setup phase (no paying customers). I rebuilt the site on a test server and it worked fine, even with the same plugins activated.

More than anything I was concerned that I had missed an s2Member setting, and thank you for confirming I had not. I’m confident the new install will work fine.

Thank you for your time.

What an annoyingly simple fix!

That corrected the problem.

Thank you!

I run s2Member on several sites and no ads or redirects to other sites populate at all. I agree that this person’s problem is not s2Member but is something else on his/her system.
