Okay, I did two new transactions a while ago, one while logged in to the admin account, and another while logged out. This time the return page said the purchase was confirmed and the button linked to the protected content, which I could access correctly. The other times I tested the purchase, I got the message that I needed to check my email, probably waiting 15 mins, but the email never arrived. This time the emails haven’t arrived either, though. I looked at your plugins and found that you had the Email Log installed and active, so I took a look and there’s no new email mentioned since the 24th. The s2Member logs show today’s transactions went fine, but neither mentions an email sent either. Maybe there’s a plugin conflict preventing emails from working properly. Could you please test this deactivating the other plugins one by one, doing a test purchase after each to see if the problem goes away? |

Thanks for the email. I did the test purchase and everything went fine. I checked out and got the email from ClickBank. I also got the Signup Confirmation email from s2Member, although it went to the Spam box, so you may want to customize the email a bit to make it more unique to avoid triggering flags in the spam filters. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› ClickBank® Options -› Signup Confirmation Email[/hilite] The email marketing services usually have a tool that lets you check the email you plan to send to see how it ranks to prevent getting it marked as spam. Then I registered the account and that went fine too. I think I did get the proper paid level, although I couldn’t confirm it because when I tried logging in to the admin account you sent, I couldn’t because of “invalid username”. I didn’t get a zip file attached to the email, so I couldn’t see the screenshot you mentioned. I did see in the aweber-api.log file an entry for me after the registration and it looks okay. So it looks like this is being sent to AWeber successfully. If the user is not added, then it’s possibly a problem with the parser. Knowledge Base » AWeber email parser for s2Member I’d like to see the screenshot to review it. If you post it to a page in your site and give me the URL, I could see it there. Just tell me the permalink to it, I already have the domain name. Ah, have you read this article? Knowledge Base » Debugging the AWeber integration By the way, you left the domain name (at least once) in the logs you pasted above earlier. Thought I’d let you know in case you want to remove it.

Thanks for the logs. From then, I see that signups do mention the signup confirmation email being sent. The entries that don’t mention that are the ones where an existing account was upgraded, or where you were logged in to the admin account. If you want me to, I can try a test purchase and see how it goes. I’d need you to send me access to the site, as well as a newly generated test card from ClickBank to purchase. Ah, and the URL to the page where you have the button to purchase. s2Member® » Private Contact Form |

Hi Andy. No, we don’t have a way to connect two accounts like that. But if what you want him to be able to do, is view your posts here in the forum, then he can already do that, since they’re public. If you subscribe to the threads you post to, then they’ll be listed in your forum profile; but even if you don’t subscribe, the threads you started will be listed there. http://www.s2member.com/forums/users/knowinnovation/ I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Sean. I’m really not familiar at all with MS Access. Maybe you can have it connect regularly (with a cron job) through a script to the WP database to query the users? That way you can make the script output the data in the format that MS Access needs it. |

Hi Bianca. Could you confirm that the page IDs are mentioned there when you do the checkout? Or post the URL to the page where the button is and I’ll take a look. Do you have logging enabled? I’d like to see the entries related to the transaction with the problem, from all the logs in your s2member-logs folder. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Logging[/hilite] Did you change something that may have started this problem? Do you remember any installations/updates (plugins/theme) close to the time when you noticed this problem started happening? |

I see, then you’d need to edit the editor’s role so he has the required WP capability for that.
No, it doesn’t have that feature, but you could probably create a hack for that. I’ll take this as a feature request and add it to the list. Thanks for the idea. :) |

Right, you can have users register at a level lower than the one the content is protected at. If you have free registrations, then they’d register at Level 0 and you’d protect content at Level 1, upgrading the users manually to Level 1 when you approve them. If you’re selling content, then users would register at Level 1 and you’d upgrade their accounts to Level 2 if you approve them, and content would be protected at Level 2. I hope that helps. :) |

You’re very welcome. I’m glad that fixed the problem. :) When you export, the custom profile fields without a value will not be included in the CSV. Could that be what you’re seeing? |

Thanks. :) I’d like to see the entries for the logs that have PayPal in the name, too, please. By the way, are you making sure that you aren’t logged in when you load the page with the CB button for the test. |

It logs every mail sent by WordPress. That way we can tell if we’re not getting the Signup Confirmation email is that it’s not being sent at all or if it gets sent but doesn’t arrive, which would help narrow down where the problem is. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/email-log/ |

I’m glad it helped. :) I don’t know how to update the IPN URLs in the subscriptions. I’d ask Authorize.Net’s support about it, if there’s a way to do it, they’d know. |

You can try this hack in in the must-use plugins directory. Create this dir/file: /wp-content/mu-plugins/s2hacks.php |

It’s just that you’re trying to do something that the Download Protection can’t handle. If you go to the Basic Download Restriction panel you’ll see what it allows, and that’s all it allows to determine the number of downloads, it’s based on levels. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Basic Download Restrictions[/hilite] One thing you can try to remove the incremental access that levels give, is edit the s2Member Level roles to remove the capabilities to access the content for lower levels. |

No, not at all. I just did the test purchase yesterday, didn’t touch anything else and haven’t been back to it since. I just now noticed the email you sent via the Contact Form.
If you change the style there, it may affect other things in the theme. You’ll need to write a new style with a selector more specific to the button to override the style your theme is applying.
I see, I will try a new purchase, but I don’t think the AWeber change has anything to do with the missing Signup Confirmation email. When you used the Email Log plugin, did you see this email being sent? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Signup Confirmation Email[/hilite] I just did the purchase and will check later if I got the confirmation email. I’ll post an update later today when I come back. |

Thanks for the follow up.

Please make sure you have logging enabled, do a new test purchase, and check the logs (all, including the PayPal ones) for the entries related to that transaction. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› ClickBank® Options -› Account Details -› Logging[/hilite] Paste the entries here, x’ing out any private info like email address, please. That may help us find what the problem is. Thanks! |

Hi Jinger. s2Member would apply the content restrictions to the RSS feeds depending on your setting here: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Alternative View Protection[/hilite] But that wouldn’t generate a 404, so I doubt it’s that. You may want to test your other plugins to see if one of them is causing it. Try deactivating them one by one and testing the feed after each to see if the 404 goes away. I hope that helps. :) |

I see. Well, the theme can be fixed, you don’t need to get rid of it. This test just helped spot that there’s a problem there. Ask the theme’s developer about the parsing problem so he helps you with it. Another thing you can try is the TrueEdit plugin, disabling the content filters except do_shortcode. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/trueedit/ I don’t know why the pro-form’s shortcode is not being parsed yet. Could it be that you missed some files when you uploaded s2Member Pro to your server? Could you please try reuploading the s2member-pro folder making sure that all files are uploaded? |

Fprgot to answer this one:
Yes, if the user is logged in to his account when he starts the checkout, then the account will be upgraded. Your case is different, from what you explained after that question, but I thought I’d still answer it so you know how it’s done under normal circumstances. :) |

Ah, that may be tricky, although not impossible. s2Member will give access to content if the user’s account has the right capability for it. s2Member roles (for levels) have capabilities to access content at the different s2Member levels. You can check them out with the User Role Editor. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/user-role-editor/ So just make sure you give the user the right s2Member Level role he needs to access the content you protected over at DomainB.com. How you create the account in the DomainB when the user is created over at DomainA is something you need to solve, too. Maybe the Remote Operations API can help. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Remote Operations API[/hilite] About notifications, if those are sent to DomainA, then you’d need to have a hack there to forward the notification with the POST vars in the way that s2Member in DomainB expects it. The IPN script inside the Extras zip in your Account page, can help you with that. http://www.s2member.com/r/s2m-pro-extras-zip/ I hope it helps. :) |

Hi Michael. The restriction shouldn’t be applied if you removed it. When you removed the restrictions, did you make sure to save the changes? Also, are you using a caching plugin? Could you try deactivating it to test if that’s causing this problem? |

Hi Tom.
That’s odd, have you modified exports-in.inc.php at all? It seems you have a space or linebreak before the opening PHP tag. Could you upload a new copy of the file from your s2Member Pro zip file? You shouldn’t be getting that error, and I couldn’t reproduce it. |
