Hi Paddy.
I tried accessing the post protected at Level 1 while logged out, and got properly sent to the Membership Options page. So the restriction works. When you say that the posts are visible, do you mean in the home page or an archive (e.g. category)? If so, then you can use the “more” tag, so that only a portion of the post (up to the more tag) gets show before being linked to the actual post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/ Or you can use the Alternative Views Protection to prevent the posts from even being listed in those page. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Alternative View Protection[/hilite] I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Laurent. You seem to have a JavaScript problem there, causing the pro-form to not work properly. I’d test the theme and plugins to find which is introducing it. To test the theme, change it for a moment to the default TwentyEleven theme, and refresh the page with the pro-form. If the problem continues, then test the other plugins. Deactivate them one by one, checking after each if the problem is still there. Once you spot which is causing the problem, you can proceed to fix it, or find a replacement. The problem is usually because the JS is not properly enqueued to avoid problems. http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_enqueue_script I hope that helps. :) |

Right. :) You can have a conditional in the Login Welcome page, that shows the payment options to those at Level 0, for example, so they upgrade to Level 1. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Simple/Shortcode Conditionals[/hilite] |

Of course it’s important. I’ll help you try to solve it, although I don’t know what the cause is yet… I don’t know if it’ll help, but could you install the Email Log plugin and register a new account? I’d like to see what it logs about that email. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/email-log/ And when you get the email bounced, could you copy that email, paste it in a txt file and send it to me so I take a look at it? s2Member® » Private Contact Form When you said the “the one that I receive telling me I have a new user ( the administrative one )”, do you mean the one here [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Email Configuration -> Administrative: New User Notification[/hilite]? By the way, are you customizing the New User email then? Have you tried what happens if you use the default WP email for it? Hi Tom. Funny, I was looking into this problem yesterday. My guess is that the default templates for s2Member emails may be seen by some filters as spam. Tens of thousands of blogs have now had s2Member installed, I wouldn’t be too surprised if some of those site owners did something spammy that would eventually cause this. What I’d try is completely rewriting the s2Member emails, so they’re unique to your site, and more personal too. And if you want to check how spammy they’d be seen, you can probably find some tools online that let you do that. Some email services have that integrated in their interface so you can improve the email before blasting it out to your list. Let me know if that helps. :) |

Thanks for the info. :) I logged in successfully and was shown the /practitioners page, which I assume is the one you set for Login Welcome. Then I tried the page with ID 649, which is the one that sent you to the Membership Options page with the URL you posted, and I was shown the /rx-sheets page, wasn’t redirected. The URL you posted says that the the page is protected with the Page restriction at Level 1. What level did you give the test account you provided me with? Could you check what level the account you tried before has? Also, could you tell me what pages you set for: I don’t know if your theme would lose its configuration if you switch it for a moment, I haven’t had a problem with themes yet, but I don’t think all themes are the same. You should ask the theme developer that question, or test it in a test installation of WP to see what happens. |

Interesting… No, s2Member doesn’t have something like that, but it’s possible that some other plugin (BuddyPress comes to mind) may. Anyway, nice work finding the problem! Thanks for the update. :) |

I see. No, we can’t do that… but I’ve seen others working together that’d post from one account if they needed to post in the Customers Forum. Just don’t use many devices or you’ll reach the IPs limit and will lose access for a while. ([hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Unique IP Access Restrictions[/hilite]) About getting notifications, you could create a filter in your email account that forwards him a copy. :) |

Good.
What is “svc”? Do you mean the link generator here [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Specific Post/Page Access Links[/hilite]?
I don’t know. I’d think both IDs would be shown if one is… I’d like to see the log entries.
I’m not aware of the SP links not working… Were you logged in to your admin account when you tried the link?
I don’t think it is, if you already removed it and still have the problem.
You should be able to recognize the entries by the time, for example. But if you have a hard time, then try moving the existing logs out of that folder and do a new test transaction to generate new log files for it. |

Cool. :)
You can also use it with other strings in s2Member that you may want to customize. |

Hi Doug, Gabe. PayPal Advanced is not supported by s2Member yet. We will support it in the future, but this isn’t in the current s2Member. Same for PayFlow Pro. s2Member Pro currently supports PayPal Pro and Authorize.Net, which allow you to receive payments on-site instead of going off-site to complete the checkout. I hope that helps. :) |

Hi William. Okay, I’ll explain the differences between the licenses a bit. The Unlimited Sites one is for a same person that wants to use s2Member in several websites he owns. This license is not appropriate for developers to use s2Member in several client sites. In this case, each client of the developer should have his own license for his site. The Network Support license is required when you give your users a blog in your multisite network. The child blogs can use s2Member too, or not, it’d still require this license. I have never had someone ask about using a multisite network for his client sites, though. I’ll have to ask Jason about it. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back from him. :) |

Hi Andy.
I think that’d be fine. I know the conflict happens if you pick from the WP pages dropdown, but entering a URL works as a redirection and there doesn’t seem to be an internal conflict with the Home page setting as far as I know. Let me know if you do have any problems using it like that, please. I hope you have none, though. :) |

Hi Rachel.
I’m emailing Jason, the developer, to find out how the limit can be removed. I’ll let you know when I hear back from him. :)
You mean in the Users list? [hilite path]Dashboard -> Users[/hilite] I’m afraid that’s not available in the interface yet, but we’ve added it to the feature requests list and we plan to improve users listing a lot in the future. |

Hi there.
So /en is a child blog in the multisite network? I’ll have to ask Jason about protected files for child blogs in a network, since I’m not experienced with this. I’ll let you know when I hear back from him. :) |

Cassel, I think he wants a subscription for each ccap, instead of a subscription for the level which included the ccaps when purchased. He wants to have someone at a level be able to add a ccap with a subscription for the ccap. Jorden, if I understood correctly what you’re asking, then that’s not available yet, but we definitely plan to support it in the near future. |

Yes, you can add a condition that checks for the level in combination with the first payment time for that level. In the same page you could have the conditionals to drip to level 1 and level 2. Here you can see an example of the code to get the first time at each level. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Content Dripping -> Very Advanced[/hilite] |

Maybe because it’s not a valid email address? Could you try “test@test.com”? Same for the other fields that expect a certain format, try to use it, e.g. dates. The row you copied from the documentation describes what goes in each value, not necessarily an example of the value.
It’s talking about the s2Member custom profile fields from [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields[/hilite]. So, if you you have a field named “favoritecolor”, then in the CSV you’d have that (the field’s name) and its value: [hilite mono],"favoritecolor","red"[/hilite]. The pairs thing is only for the custom profile fields. We’re changing this format in the new s2Member, but for now it’s like that in the current one. |

Hi there. I’m not sure why you’d be sent on that loop with the other browsers and not with Internet Explorer. When you get redirected to the login page after logging in, could you copy the URL in the address bar and paste it here? I’d like to see if there’s any redirection variable there. I can’t test this without an account to login with… Do you have a test account I could try to reproduce this? I’m suspecting that your theme or another plugin is causing this. To test the theme, you can change for a momento to the default TwentyEleven one and try logging in again with the account you had the problem you mention. If that didn’t solve it, test the plugins deactivating them one by one, testing after each if the problem went away. I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Alex. Rather than a CSS issue, I’m thinking it may be a JavaScript one. Could you first confirm that it’s the theme? Test it quick changing to the default TwentyEleven theme and refreshing the page with the pro-form. The problem may be that the theme is not enqueueing the JavaScript properly. http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_enqueue_script |

I’m glad you removed the cPanel redirection and avoided the Home and Membership Options pages overlap. I hope you have logging enabled so we can get more info. If you didn’t, then please enable it and run a new test purchase. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› ClickBank® Options -› Account Details -› Logging[/hilite] About the error you got, I’d like you to try this “server check” script we have, that helps spot known issues with a server that could/would cause trouble for s2Member. Download it, take the PHP file from the archive and upload it to the directory where you have WP installed, and load it in your browser. Do you get any errors/warnings? http://www.s2member.com/r/server-check-tool/ |

Yeah, you can leave those blank, but then nothing will update their access, because no gateway will be telling s2Member to demote that particular user after having failed a payment or cancelled the subscription. You can set the EOT time when you import, which will trigger the Auto EOT Behavior in your settings. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Automatic EOT Behavior[/hilite] If they’re logged in to their accounts, users can make a payment and that’ll update the existing account with the newly paid access instead of making him register a new account for it. Does that help? :) |

Hi Sarah. When you say “the other emails”, which do you mean? The New User email, the one that includes the password of the account just created, can be edited here: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Email Configuration -> New User[/hilite] I’m not sure why that one can’t be delivered while the others can. Is it being sent to exactly the same address the others are? |
