Hi,

Looks like you are logged if you are getting that list. If you logout it should show the login credentials box. The second thing you are explaining I don’t understand. Are you inserting this code

<?php echo s2member_pro_login_widget(); ?>

to get the login box on your page?

bump. This seems like a simple question and I have searched everywhere I could so I am asking again. When I setup up download restriction in S2Member, everything is working if the user left-clicks to download the file. However they can still right-click and save as … to save the file locally, bypassing the security. Is there a way around this?

Thanks Cristian,
this got us in the right direction and in the end we used this plugin reorder thing to fix the issue:
http://reveloper.com/wordpress-plugins-order-plugin/

this is resolved. Thanks for your help.

Anyone? I am surprised if a user can still right-click and save as any protected file, it makes the Download Restriction option not very worthwhile. Is there any way I can keep the restriction working while someone right clicks on the file?

Just wanted to add this information to see if it helps:

We are trying to use the S2 shortcodes in a plugin while it loads. However, it is returning the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_user_logged_in() in /home/fresh/public_html/wp-content/plugins/s2member/includes/classes/sc-gets-in.inc.php on line 64

How can I use the S2 shortcodes in a plug-in when it is being loaded and initialized?
THanks

Hi again.

Whoops, I was using = with the file version. Have now tried this:
http://localhost/wpfinal/wp-content/plugins/s2member-files/s2member-file-download-key-d20acffbf17412f6bacc438f08d39592/a1837da890af72f37605c20117abe5b8.m4a

and still no luck.

After testing the s2Member download keys with a test page that works, I have found a work-around for my problem page assuming it has something to do with that code, and I will revisit late if required. Thanks for all your help.

Thanks Cristian,

I had already tried that but did take a much closer look at it. Here are the two variations I tried, neither worked. If you tell me I have the right syntax then I might go to plan b, copy the file into an unprotected directory for player only.

niftyplayer.swf?file=http://localhost/wpfinal/wp-content/plugins/s2member-files/s2member-file-inline=yes/s2member-file-download-key=33df11dcdbb8b788d42374437931fa92/825ce31dc53c452b50a3c300569f4d6c.mp3

niftyplayer.swf?file=http://localhost/wpfinal/wp-content/plugins/s2member-files/88830fb3d8b841b2ded85274c1dc31d9.mp3&s2member_file_inline=yes&s2member_file_download_key=f8724cfa2bd6b42ea6dcd95fb24de620

Do these look right?
Thanks

Ok I spoke too soon. Still does not work but I want to make sure I have the syntax right. Should this work, where I put the s2 stuff on the end of the player code? I am generating the key earlier, from the same file.

Wow, you guys are amazing. I saw that option but did not understand its purpose. Works great! thanks.

Oh man, that worked perfectly. Thank you so much for taking the time to do that!

Thanks. I did go through this article and as I said the download is working great, limiting depending on the user. However when the user tries to play the audio from the same file it gives an error regardless of the audio player I try. It is like the player does not have access to that directory.

To clarify I am using Login Welcome Page already and it is working.

I want that if the user is using the site and clicks on the HOME link, he is redirected to the same page as Login Welcome Page and bypasses the old home page. I have tried some redirection plugins and other options but maybe the Login Welcome Page is disabling them, because they don’t work.

Hope that makes sense.
Thanks

Ha, I wondered what that option was for.

Thank you so much for the speedy answer and making my day!

For the most part I figured this out by switching over to WAMP which is using v 2.2.22 of Apache. I deinstalled XAMPP so not sure what the problem was but if I go back will use your notes to troubleshoot.

Awesome product, still working through the myriad of options!

Thanks

Sorry, forget that request. I find now how I can parse the field and get the data I need.

Thanks and thanks for a great product!

Hi,

I have looked into the API feature but think I need something much simpler. I have an external app that just needs to query the s2member data. It will check usertype and some custom fields I create in s2member. Is this stuff stored in one of the tables under USER_ID? or is it otherwise accessible?

Thank you.

I have run the server check program with the following errors. I don’t think any of these affect my problem. Anyone have an idea where I messed up?
