Hi Suhaib. Instead of adding the badge in the footer box in [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Security Badge[/hilite], you can go to where you added the other badges and put it there. If that place doesn’t parse shortcodes, you can use PHP to do it: [hilite pre_code][/hilite] I hope that helps. :) |

Okay, so it’s a BuddyPress page to create new blogs. I just tried /wp-signup.php again and it still redirects to /membership-options/ with the 404. If BP is trying to use wp-sign.php, then that may explain the 404s you get. Can you solve what’s preventing you from using /wp-sign.php and and test /microsites/create/ again? |

You can use any PayPal button created over at PayPal, wihout an integration with s2Member, if you don’t plan to give him access to any particular content based on what they pay. If you do want to give them access to content meant for those that paid, but without requiring a registration, you can sell a page protected with Specific Post/Page restriction. Video » s2Member (Specific Posts/Pages) I hope that helps. :) |

Thanks! When I went to do it, I noticed that already registered users could login, so I just went and created a Level 0 account from admin, and logged in with it to do the test purchase. Well, I wasn’t upgraded to Level 1. It wasn’t entered in the s2Member logs, either, so I got no more new data on the problem. And all this without an indication that it didn’t work, I even got the message at the top of the pro-form, after being returned from Express Checkout, that it was okay and I could log in again. I did a server check and, other than a low memory limit setting, everything was fine in the report. What I’d check for next is a plugin conflict. To test this, deactivate all the plugins except s2Member, and do a new test purchase, see if the upgrade works now, and the logs have the new entries for it. If it works, activate the other plugins one by one, testing after each if the problem comes back to find the which one is causing it. If you don’t want to deactivate plugins, you could create a new WP installation in a new folder for the test, install s2Member, configure the PayPal integration and post the shortcode for the pro-form in a page to run the test. Let me know how it goes. :) |

Hi Kimberley. Well, yes, you could have the admin point the user to the page with the page with the pro-form/button for the user to upgrade. If you give access to the user, he has it, it isn’t pending payment. So, in order to do what you want, you have to point them to where they’ll pay, tied to s2Member (i.e. s2Member’s shortcode for the button/pro-form). I hope that helps. :) |

Oh, okay. So something like giving the user new merge tags in MailChimp? Well, that’s not available yet, but I’ll forward the request to Jason. If you wanted to hack this, you could probably do it. You’d need to use a hook that fires every time the user’s profile is modified, so you update the user in MailChimp. This may help: http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/registration-wont-update-mailchimp-merge-tags/ |

Hi Annie. I’m not familiar with mixing subscriptions between gateways, so I’m emailing Jason asking for his thoughts on this. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back from him, or he may just reply here himself. Thanks for your patience. :) |

Hi Mark. PayPal Pro is not required for the pro-form, you can do it with the free Express Checkout option. And the buttons are for the free PayPal Standard service. Pre Sale FAQs » To use s2Member® Pro Forms, will I have to use PayPal® Pro? If the shortcode is not working in your post, it’s something else. Even if PayPal weren’t working, you should get the pro-form/button displayed in the page. What’s happening? Is nothing shown or is the shortcode shown in the page? Could you post here the shortcode you tried using? And, if you don’t mind making your site known, could you post a link to the page where you posted it? If you want to keep it private, you can send it via the contact form. s2Member® » Private Contact Form |

Right, I can understand that. I’ll see what I can come up with to help you, but I’ve suggested what I could think of so far. Are you needing this yesterday or is it for something you have in mind doing in a future date, but still not in a rush? |

Of course. But if you are already planning to move because of other reasons, then it may be good to do it and then test again to see if the problem persists. |

I see. Then you seem to be losing the POST vars somewhere in your IPN script. You’d need to study your code to find where it may be happening. I emailed Jason asking him about it. |

You could let users without access to view the video, but it’d need a download key generated each view. To do that, you could create a hack file in your must-use plugins directory /wp-content/mu-plugins/ (create it if you don’t have it yet), and in it check the GET vars to identify when someone is trying to view that file, and add the download key to the vars, generating one right there. |

Okay. Could you try enabling the protection for feeds? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Alternative View Protection -> Feeds ( hide protected content in standard XML/RSS/ATOM feeds )[/hilite] |

Yeah, there may be that conflict you mention. So it’s set as the home page in the theme, but it’s not really the home page in practice? Have you tried the URI restriction for it too? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› URI Access Restrictions[/hilite] |

Thanks, Jacequelyn. Sorry I didn’t get to it earlier. I looked at your settings and logs. I tried doing a new test purchase to have new entries and see what level my account got set to, but couldn’t do the test because the site is in maintainance mode, which can only be accessed as the admin, but as the admin I can’t do the test purchase. Could it be possible to have the maintaince mode removed for a moment? Since I may not be around at the same time you are, could you tell me how to change the mode myself to do the test? I can figure it out, but want your permission first and the instructions on how you want me to do it. Thanks! |

Sorry about my quote, I obviously didn’t copy your post when I hit the button, so I pasted what I had in the clipboard from before and didn’t notice it. I fixed it now.
No, custom capabilities don’t have the incremental access Levels have, and when a page is protected by a ccap, that ccap specifically is what’s looked for in the user’s access. So, in order to check what you want, you’d have to check every ccap the user has to find one higher. Or, you could give existing users new ccaps as they become available, then their accounts will have each specific ccap for the pages they have access to. |
