Hi Jenny, you can copy the login-widget.inc.php file to your wp-content/mu-plugins/ folder (original found in wp-content/plugins/s2member-pro/includes/classes). You can then edit this file and remove or move any elements. Hope that helps! Zoe |

Hi Bruce, this removed itself when I switched off Paypal pro as a payment provider! I’ll switch it back on if a standard account will still work!! Ta! |

Hi Bruce, I’ve tested one of the buttons and when I get taken to PayPal there is infact a “Don’t have a PayPal account? Pay using your credit or debit card” button – so that solves that issue, as long as they can pay by card, it doesn’t really matter where they do it :) My final question is about how to set up the buttons. I’ve disabled PayPal pro as a payment provider and set up a recurring button under s2Member > PayPal buttons, but when I put the shortcode in to my page I only get a button, no registration form… how does this work (sorry if I’m being a bit thick)? Thanks again! |

Is there anyway members can make payment by credit card with a non-pro account? This is a really important feature to the client…. Zoe |

Hi Bee, Its been incredibly useful to me as a Pro user so the least I can do is contribute back! In the email you use the unique_id you assigned to your custom field inside %%…%%, so for example, one of my fields is “website” so in the email I typed %%website%% to call the contents of it! Glad I could help :) |

So the customers will have to create a paypal account if we don’t have Pro, regardless of if we are using recurring or not? Sorry to nit-pick but I need to understand this clearly before I get back to the client. Thanks!! |

Hi Kieran, Not sure about your theme (perhaps test it with the free version of s2Member). I can answer Q 2, yes they support clickbank:
Not sure about no 3. For Q 4, I think you would need to install a 3rd party plugin that handles emailing all members, alternatively set up s2member with aweber or mailchimp and send email from them! Hope that helps! |

Hi Bruce, it was the bit beneath about Express checkout that confused me:
But they can still choose to pay by card beneath the login box when on the PayPal website? Am I also correct in thinking they will not be able to use recurring subscriptions in anyway, but we will have to use the buy now options instead? Thanks :) |

Hi Alex, I think you may need s2Member pro for this… perhaps someone else can confirm? Cheers. |

Hi Alex, you’d have to create your own searchable members page which is possible with some programming. There’s some useful links on this post I just replied to: Thanks! |

Hi Bee, presumming this is available on the free version just go to s2Member > General options > Email configuration in your admin, here you can edit the “New user email configuration” section. Details on extra fields are just underneath the message box. Hope that’s helpful! |

Hi Noelle, I’ve created a member list page with search for several websites I’ve previously built with s2Member: I am a programmer and it was difficult to initially learn how to do this… member data is stored in a slightly unique way in WordPress but the code samples and explanations from the s2 guys really helped. Now I know how, it only takes a few hours to pull one together with all my custom fields, I’ll happily take a look at yours and quote for the work and if you’re familiar with CSS you can do all the styling yourself, I’ll just plonk in the code! Alternatively here’s the post I found useful for learning how to code it up: Hope that helps either way!! Zoe |

Hi Emmanuel, do you have javascript enabled in your browser? It might be that you have this switched off and therefore aren’t getting the alerts. A quick way to tell is to submit your form with everything empty, you should get a pop up asking you to enter information in the required fields… Hope that helps! |

Thanks Raam, looks like the Simple Survey plugin is causing the issue, which is a pain because I need it – I’ve asked the plugin author if they can update the plugin so I don’t have to mess around with it! Thanks :) Zoe |

Hi Sean, there is a short list of shortcodes on this page http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/s2-pro-complete-list-of-shortcodes/ which includes: $s2member_auto_eot_time = get_user_field (“s2member_auto_eot_time”); Not used it though so not to sure if its what you need :) |

I’ve discovered this won’t work how I need it to, the client needs existing members to be able to buy the training courses at a discount! I’ve created a simple little plugin instead that allows them to manage bookings that are made via a custom form and posts to paypal for payment, they will have to check payment manually as the IPN is being used by PayPal (can you have more than 1 IPN address with PayPal??) Thanks anyway :) |

Brill, so if I’m pessimistic and say the end of the summer (August/September), fingers crossed they’ll get the feature early :) Thanks for giving me a rough idea, hopefully the client will be happy to wait! Zoe |

Hi Cristian, are we looking at weeks or months for the release? If its expected soon the client might be happy to wait. I totally get you can’t state a specific date but it would be good to have a rough sort of idea… (I’d be sure to tell my client its an approximation too)… Thanks! |

Hi Emmanuel, Just enter dummy data (ie make up account details) in s2Member > PayPal Options > PayPal account details, then use the shortcode for the free subscription form and the error message should disappear! Hope that helps :) |

Hi Cristian, The two forms are very different, the membership (silver/gold) form collect information about the individual, their contact details etc. But the training form (1 off payment) needs to collect info like number of delegates, course type, date, location, delegates names etc… The client should be getting a paypal pro account that supports reoccurring billing! I get the feeling I’ll need to create some complete custom code that doesn’t create a user account… Cheers :) |

Hi Carly, you have to create a registration form/page for each membership level, then you create a membership page that links to each of those forms. For example, if you go to http://www.s2member.com/prices/ they have two “membership” options, Single site and Unlimited, each of these links to a different page that allows you to sign up & pay for that service. If you go to s2Member > PayPal Buttons in your WordPress admin you can create a shortcode for each of your membership levels, then paste that code in to the page you want to display the form on! Hope that helps! |

Hi Deb, if you remove your mailchimp settings from the admin under s2Member > API/List Servers > Mailchimp, I believe this box will disappear on your registration forms. Hope that helps! |
