Hi Victor, have you tried checking your URI restrictions, it might be set up to protect that folder by name. For example I am protecting a forum using s2member by telling the URI restrictions to protect “/forums”. These settings are in s2Member > Restriction options > URI restriction. Might be worth checking the other areas in restriction options too just to be sure. Hope that helps! Zoe

Hi Mary, do you mean the fieds in your sign up/registration form? Also is it that you want these fields to no longer be “required” or do you want them to be required but just hide the asteriks? If you can answer those questions I’ll be able to give you a better answer :) Zoe |

It sounds like you have your posts set to private rather than published as well as projecting them with s2member… setting a post or page to private (just above the publish/update button) adds a “password” field to the page. |

I have no idea what caused this but I do know that moving the hosting to elsewhere fixed the problem! |

Hi Bruce, I entered them manually in the end as there were only 5. Now I’ve done that the import/export seems to be behaving. I’ll reopen this thread if it happens again. Cheers, Zoe |

There are loads of shopping carts for WordPress, you can then use s2Member to protect all your shopping cart pages using the product page URLs with s2member > restriction options > URL restrictions. I’ve not done this with a shopping cart but used it with a forum to protect all the pages that start with /forums/. |

Hi Bruce, Sorry I don’t mean approve a member when they sign up, I mean approve changes an existing member might make to their profile… Cheers, Zoe |

lol what a silly mistake! I was testing as a subscriber as well but must have switched browsers at some point! I’d like the s2member emails to remain but there are two other plug-ins I need to hide the edit fiels for, hopefully they have something similar to s2! Thanks as always! Zoe |

Thanks Jason, I’ve decided to code up my own edit profile page as I need way to many custom options – still using s2member for my page protection though :) |

Hi Jason, you’d need to use custom capabilities, which I believe is available with the free version. See s2member > API / Scripting > Custom Capabilities (Packages) for a description of how these work. Basically you can assign a ccap to each registration form (via the shortcode), then to each corresponding page you want those members to have access too. Hope that helps! |

Hi Jeff, you could just use the PayPal Pro forms to make your 1st payment = 1 time fee + first month, then all further reoccurring monthly payments = the monthly fee. Then simply outline the breakdown of that 1st payment at the top of your registration form page and in your user confirmation email… It does mean the first payment will go off to paypal as one lump sum but it makes the process nice and simple to set up. Hope that helps! |

Hi Cristian, what file do I need to alter the user export code? My client wants it to include the number of times logged in as per the “users” section in the admin. Cheers :) |

Hi Philly, not quite, the client just wants 1 specific page to redirect to a different page, but everything else redirects to the usual membership options page… Hope that makes sense :) |
