Yes- It is possible to shut off Aweber opt in completely on an Aweber form ONLY. I have talked with them directly about this- S2Memeber / AWeber integration will not ever work correctly unless the registration form acts as an aWeber form and authenticates the email. Otherwise is will send the opt in email even if it is turned off. Thus the Aweber mail system will only work for those who opted in as I described and the integration of S2Member and Aweber will always be partial. Believe me, this has been very thoroughly researched before posting.

Thanks! It worked after I protected the Alternative Views.

What do you mean by the WordPress “more” tag to show snippet of the post? I remember seeing it somewhere, but cannot seem to find it. Can you explain a bit more? I would like to have more options.

Thank you!

Hey Guys- Can you please help with the Protected posts not protected issue? I sent in the passwords as requested. This issue occurs on any computer or browser and the posts are entirely public to anyone at any level. So you do not need to ask me if I am logged in or not

The post you will want to look at is the one called “A”. This is a level 31 post and can be seen by you right now here.

Specifically http://daytradingtargets.com/blog – the article called “A”

Now, if you click the article header itself, it will protect it.

So any post from http://daytradingtargets.com/blog is public to any viewer regardless of level

please help

OK I posted that through the private support as requested. Thanks for your help. It also occurred to me to tell you that both those issues aweber and the protected posts are not private may have occurred following a site migration. The demand on the server was too high and we had to get a new VPS server for it. Anyway, it occurred to me that may be related and could help you to be more efficient in finding out what is going on. Thanks for helping.

Thank you very much Bruce.

Ok, after playing around for many hours I think I finally got it (crossing my figures)

1. I went into the billing modification form (and other pro forms I am using) and set the ccaps=”paypal” or “authnet”.

2. then I made new pages, one for cancellation, one for upgrade, and one for update billing.

3. in each of the above pages, I put the following in them

[s2If current_user_can(access_s2member_ccap_paypal)]
the entire form code for cancellation or upgrade or update billing that is generated by Paypal pro form
[/s2If]
[s2If current_user_can(access_s2member_ccap_authnet)]
the entire form code for cancellation or upgrade or update billing that is generated by Authorize.Net pro form
[/s2If]

This seems to work… However, I did notice that I cannot set captcha=”clean” since there are two forms in each pages and even though one might be hidden, it is still excepting its captcha phrase to be entered.

Am I doing this correctly?

Thanks.

Thank you Jason. These are the settings that I currently have, but I re did all of them. I noticed that when I ran the live tests inside my Aweber account with the exact same message body on all the lists that I created, some of them immediately return the correct parser while some of them would say no rules were matched and if I just keep clicking the test button (without changing the testing message body) it would eventually return the right parser. Very strange… Hopefully it will work now. Thank you.

Thank you for your reply but I don’t understand how to set it because I am not a programmer.

I just know logically I think all I want to do is to find the value of the field “s2member_subscr_gateway” and decide which page to route them to 1) upgrade, or 2) update billing, or 3) cancel. The value of this user field is either “anthnet” or “paypal”.

I have set up all the appropriate pages for

upgrading through paypal,
upgrading through authorize.net,
update billing info through paypal,
update billing info through authorize.net,
cancel through paypal,
cancel through authorize.net.

But then I am sort of stuck because I still don’t know what you are saying I need to add and how :(

Thank you Bruce!

I don’t understand any type of codes really. Would you mind showing me how to assign a Custom Capability to the Pro Forms that I have generated? I read the sections on shortcode conditionals and custom capabilities but they are like another language to me…

Your answer to my question #3, does that apply to only PayPal or does it also apply to Authorize.Net? I tested the PayPal form and it seems to do the upgrade alright, but I haven’t a clue how I would generate a way to upgrade via Authorize.net.

Thank you very much for your help.

Thank you very much! Is there anyway to make this page not accessible after it is shown to the subscribers? I set it up to only show when they (the free registered members level 0, non-paying) log on the very first time, but I notice I can go on that page any time if I knew the URL or just go through my history page file. Thanks. Michelle

Hi, I am new to s2member and I just bought the pro version.
I went to the One-Time-Offers area but I still don’t know what I need to do as I am not a programmer.
Would you please kindly tell me the following:
1. What do I need to do to add an offer that they can see only the very first time they sign in?
2. How do I create the “offer”, for example I want to offer a lower subscription price if they sign up now.
3. Do I need to create a different sign up/subscribe page for this offer? If so, how? Or Is this a coupon code that is generated by S2 Pro?
Sorry, this is very new to me.
Thank you for your help.
Michelle
