Hi Steve,

I don’t know about gravity forms so maybe there is an issue there. Maybe testing s2member with that plugin deactivated could give you a better idea whether it is s2member of gravity form
What I do know about s2member is that I can have both protected AND unprotected posts on my site.
The UNprotected posts don’t have any s2 setting. The protected posts have a minimum of level 1 restrictions set.
These settings can be set by the dropdown box on the righth site when you edit a post/page. (Page oir post level restrictions)

Hi Eduan,

Makes me wonder what the difference is between the PayPal® Pro Billing Cancellation Forms and the button you point out here.
Nonetheless, thatnks a lot for the link.

Hi Raam, the reason I use it is because it is in the standard generated code. I will test it by leaving it out.
*** minutes later ***
Tested without the custom attribute, works fine.
This leaves me with one question left considering the UNsubscribe.
I offer two options for the subscribers, one with monthly payments, one with yearly payments. Both are for level 1 subscribers (there are no other levels)
Does one UNsubscribe page suffice?

@dominic

You said: “Really makes you want to buy the pro version eh?”

indeed so, and I did.

@keyhanjun

I am not 100% certain what you mean by “this is not quite correct regarding the Login form using the free plugin”.

For clarity in the communication I will rephrase here. What I do say is that the login form from the pro version (the widget) disappears once a user is logged in.

What a marvellous way to wake up on a saturday morning. FINALLY I got this part working. Thank you Cristián. You are a hero! On to the next step.
And about the login, I got that solved as well. After a succesful payment I redirect the user to a page (using the “success=” shortcode) where I ask them to log in, using the login box on the screen. As simple as that.

Anybody please!! I need to get this up and running as soon as possible. Any idea, any reply any other good ideas are MORE than welcome… Even if that means I have to keep on working all night long. I am quite desparate now.

Hi Cristián,

A quick contact with my ISP learned that getting a SSL connection is now too expensive.
So, here is the other option.
I can send people to a subscription form (www.reikimagazine-online.com/subscription-form )
after they fill that in I want to redirect them immediately to PayPal.
When the payment is done I want to redirect them to the login form on my site and from there to the protected content.
I have the subscription form ready but the redirection is NOT working. So how do I get on from there.
Actually what happens is that aftere filling the subscription form visitors get a message to log in.
Not really what I want. BTW, I found that the subscription is registered in the users table. How do I redirect users from my subscription form to PayPal?

FYI, here is the code I have for that page:

[s2Member-Pro-PayPal-Form register="1" level="1" ccaps="" desc="Subscribe to Reiki Magazine Online
now and get access to our inspiring articles, interviews and stories!"
custom="www.reikimagazine-online.com" tp="0" tt="D" captcha="clean" /]

As you can see I want people to subscribe to level 1, so how do I redirect them to PayPal once they are registered?

Hoping for a quick reply, my income now completely depends on me being able to complete this site. (My boss went bankrupt last month so I am without work and without income!)

it’s in the sidebar (right side), I use the s2 widget for that.

Sorry for the delayed reply, I had to take care for other things yesterday. That is indeed the solution, Thanks a lot Raam!

I am working on something similar on a site I am now developing.
The point is I use PDF files for the teasers.
In that PDF I describe a bit of an article, to the point where I expect the reader wants to continue.
Then I tease them with the “want to read more…” and a hyperlink to my registration page.
Once theyt close the PDF they get a popup (using PDF PopUp Pro) that leaves a message where they can go to the reg page once again.
Just my $0.02

Adam,
From what I now understand is that these shortcodes are only available if youo buy the Pro version (I did that).
These shortcodes can be found under the paypal pro forms.
Apart from the fact that it solves this problem the pro version gives you several other options as well. (like a login form that disappears automagically once you are logged in.)

OMG, I feel a bit stupid now. Just found the PAYPAL free subscription forms. I must have missed the logic to find subscription forms under the PayPal section… (duhhh)

We are now 5 ( as in F-I-V-E!!!!!) hours later and I still don’t have a reply.
I really want to know why I cannot install something I paid for.

Following the link I received I get an overview as follows:

  1. PayPal standard Button integration
  2. PayPal Pro Form Integration (most popular)
  3. Authorize.net Pro form integration (also popular)
  4. Google Checkout button integration
  5. CB Button integration
  6. Membership functionality
  7. content restriction
  8. file download …
  9. Mass update …
  10. Plugins & widgets for s2member
  11. Mailing list functionality
  12. Affiliate management & tracking compatibilities
  13. Social Networks & forum compatibilities
  14. Developer Friendly features
  15. Multisite Network functionalities

WHERE do I read “installation manual” (or something alike???)
An clear, concise and to-the-point answer would be nice for a change!

First time I see those. maybe you guys need to pay a bit more attention to creating crisp and clear manuals. I will look into it and follow those steps.

*** BIG sigh ***
WHERE did you hide the installation description.

My problem exactly Adam, from what I read and understand I also have the idea that those pages should be filled with content automatically. I cannot find anywhere how to fill those pages. At least your question got a reaction, I still have to wait for somebody to answer my Q. So I think I will follow your thread now, maybe then I get an answer.
