Hello Paul, thanks for your inquiry. Have you tried looking under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Specific Post/Page Access Links. You should be able to generate special URLs like the one you mentioned. Hope this helps. :) |

Thanks for the follow-up. If the theme is the s2Clean theme, then it’s very improbable that the theme is the cause. I have seen this issue before, it was mostly caused by a theme or plugin, and if it couldn’t be fixed by disabling the theme or the plugins, then it could be fixed by generating the button over at PayPal, like the KBA I showed you ( http://www.s2member.com/kb/using-paypal-created-buttons/ ). I don’t remember very well what kind of theme or plugin caused this issue, most of the times they didn’t even write a reply after they fixed their problem. ;) I suggest you try making the button at PayPal and see if that fixes it. Hope this helps. :) |

Hello Dana, thanks for your inquiry. This error suggests that you have a plugin or theme incompatibility. Could you please try disabling every plugin except s2Member, and generate a new button, and see if it works. If it does work, it means that one of the plugins you deactivated were not compatible with s2Member. If you could also try changing the theme to the WordPress default (TwentyEleven), and see if it works. If it doesn’t, could you please generate a PayPal button over at paypal.com following the instructions on this KBA: Thanks, and I hope this helps. :) |

Hello Rich, thanks for your inquiry. The theme that s2Member is currently using is the inFocus WordPress theme. Almost every well coded theme is compatible with s2Member, so as long as the theme is well coded, you’re good. :) Hope this helps. :) |

Hello Peter, thanks for your inquiry.
You mean if there is a different method to get support besides the forums? Then yes, you can use the private contact form to email us, when you have a question, please make sure to continue the conversation instead of sending a new form. ;) Hope this helps. :) |

Hello Jeff, thanks for your inquiry. Could you please provide us with more details? What version of s2Member and WordPress are you using? Where are you pasting the shortcode? Please post the shortcode that you’re using. Thanks. |

Hello Theresa, thanks for your inquiry. Once you generate a button shortcode, you simply copy it, and paste it wherever you want the button to appear, so it can be on any page or post. Hope this helps. :) |

Thanks for the follow-up. That certainly is cleaner Randy. If you come across trouble with shortcode conditionals, I suggest you try what Cristián said, use PHP conditionals, which you can find under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Advanced PHP Conditionals. Thanks for updating us, and I’m glad I was able to help. :) |

Hello Adam, thanks for your inquiry. Have you looked into making each plan have a different level? In other words, the monthly plan is level 1, the 3 months plan is level 2, and the yearly plan is level 3. I suggest this because then you only have to make users upgrade or downgrade their account if they want to change a payment plan. You can find the modification buttons under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Subscr. Modification Buttons. Jason also made a video on modification buttons: Would this method work for your needs? |

Hello Randy, thanks for your inquiry. Are you trying to look at the content at the correct level? In other words, are you looking at the content as a member level 2 for example? |

Hello David, thanks for your inquiry. The only times I’ve seen this error in the past is when another plugin or theme is messing up with the shortcode parsing. Could you please make a simple check to make sure there isn’t a plugin incompatibility? Simply disable every plugin except s2Member, if the problem goes away then turn the plugins on one by one until the problem appears again. If that doesn’t work, could you please make a theme incompatibility test? Simply change to the default WordPress theme (TwentyEleven). If that doesn’t solve the problem, please paste the full shortcode that you’re using when you receive this error. If you’re using the HTML version of the button please install a plugin like Exec-PHP and try using it again. Thanks, and I hope this helps. :) |

Hello Jose, thanks for your inquiry. Could you please start by doing a theme and plugin incompatibility issue? This problem is most probably caused by a plugin or theme incompatibility. Simply disable all plugins except s2Member and see if it works, if it doesn’t then change back to the default WordPress theme (TwentyEleven) and see if it works. If it doesn’t work after that you can enable your plugins and go back to your theme, and please post back telling us it didn’t work. Thanks, and I hope this helps. :) |

Hello Benny, thanks for your inquiry. Could you please post the transaction logs in some code tags? You can find the logs under wp-content\plugins\s2member-logs. Thanks! |
