I’ve wanted to do this for a while. If not sites, then user scenarios. I use S2member not for recurring memberships but to give access to protected content for a one-time charge. Though, I will eventually create a memberships site. Here is one. Note that I have the landing pages outside wordpress to save on bandwidth: http://www.ericksoniancongress.com/ This is a more “traditional” S2member set-up. A one page landing page within wordpress with protected content: http://www.anxietyconference.com/ Anyone else? |

One thing that I just remembered: One of the final things that I did to make the JWPlayer work was to install the “Raw HTML” plugin and then makes sure that on EACH page that had the player, I checked the boxes: Disable wptexturize After that, they worked. – Ryan |

It is hard to give you an answer as there are so many possibiliities. I just set this up on Bluehost and it was a pain, but I finally got it to work. The page you posted about redirects to a “page not found.” Can you give another example so we can see what is happening? – Ryan |

Thanks Cristián – Link below. Nothing is jumping out at me. I have this particular page set at level “0” though I do not have free registration set up just yet. All members currently have level “1.” Anyone see anything unusual? |

When you do a search on Elance for contractors familiar with S2Member only two or three come up. There are also only a few people who are currently asking for help on Elance for an S2Member installation. Very surprising considering how many people are using the plugin. It would be nice to have a “home grown” list or resource of people available in the community. – Ryan |

My issue with my slow-loading S2member site was the landing page. I was getting tons of traffic through affiliate emails and was fairly certain that the slow load was killing my conversion rate. Though I was not able to solve the problem, I did move to having an html landing page instead of using a static wordpress page. That made a huge difference. The landing page is small and light and loads very quickly. Just my two cents for what it’s worth. – Ryan |

I’m guessing that when the person upgrades the affiliate will still get credit as the customer will still have a cookie in their browser and it will get activated. |

When I am in this situation, I simply go to USERS > ADD NEW and manually create a new registration with a username and password. S2member then sends them the info (click the box that say “Send Password by Email.” It only takes a few seconds. – Ryan |

I cannot remember what happened with my echeck people. I may have had to manually upgrade them or perhaps S2member gave them access. You asked how to “how can I reinstate these members?” You have probably already figured that out. But just in case – go to S2MEMBERS > Members and find the person and then choose whatever level they should have. I believe the “suspended” people have simply been downgraded to “subscriber” and you simply need to manually upgrade them. – Ryan |

Perhaps go to S2Member > Search Members and see if any of them have banned from logging into from too many IP addresses. If they have been banned for that, you can reset: Reset IP Restrictions: Yes, delete/reset IP Restrictions associated with this Username. If some have been banned for that, you can go to Restriction Options > Unique IP Address Restrictions to increase the number of allowed IP’s. That’s the first thing that comes to mind for me. I am also wondering if their payment was put on hold by Paypal (that sometimes happens with eChecks). – Ryan |

Jason – My apologies, this turned out to be a problem on my end. I did not have my Paypal Identity Token entered. Once I put that in, I was able to complete several enrollments trouble free, including several members who formely – Ryan

This just started happening to me on a new Bluehost.com account though it has never happened before. I’m not even sure where to start. |
