I didn’t touch the level attribute from your shortcode: [hilite mono]level=”3″[/hilite]. Check that you have it in the new one you’re using, please.

I just manually copied the settings. Not a real fix, but it worked.

I’m sorry the migration gave you trouble, but I’m glad you managed to reproduce the configuration in the end. Thanks for the update.

It’d possibly cause further issues, because that file is needed by the theme.

I’d contact the theme author and mention to him that error in the web console.

Cool!

Sure, please let us know. :)

I don’t know how the Unbounce service will work with WordPress attributes, but if it fails, just go to your WP dashboard and edit from there, I guess.

About the image, you don’t need to go to any s2Member directory, just change the image attribute in the shortcode. I posted some examples earlier, and you can read about the attribute here: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› ClickBank® Buttons -› Shortcode Attributes -> image[/hilite]

Awesome! That’s great news. I’m very glad it’s working now. And thanks for the kudos! :)

Hi Cindy.

About the homepage conflict with the Membership Options Page, yeah, it can cause conflicts if they’re the same. If you need them both to be the same, you can just duplicate the content in both pages, or restrict the home page too (“/” in URI restriction) so users get redirected to the Membership Options Page.

Regarding the transaction problem, could you enable logging and run a live (not Sandbox) 1 cent transaction? Then post the related entries from all the log files in s2member-logs (x’ing out private info, like email), please. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Logging[/hilite]

Also post the shortcode you’re using for the button, please.

Thanks!

Thanks for spotting that! I’ll let Jason know. :)

I see. That shortcode is for a subscription. Here, I edited it so it’s a Buy Now one:

[s2Member-Pro-PayPal-Form level=”3″ ccaps=”festival” desc=”You are purchasing membership to Cleeve Racing’s Royal Ascot service for a one off £39.00″ ps=”paypal” lc=”” cc=”GBP” dg=”0″ ns=”1″ custom=”cleeveracing.com” [hilite mono]ta="0" tp="0" tt="D"[/hilite] ra=”39″ rp=”2″ rt=”W” [hilite mono]rr="BN"[/hilite] rrt=”” rra=”2″ accept=”paypal” accept_via_paypal=”paypal” coupon=”” accept_coupons=”0″ default_country_code=”” captcha=”0″ /]

[hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Shortcode Attributes (Explained)[/hilite]

I hope that helps. :)

Yeah, I hope it’s a simple thing. :)

Posted: Sunday May 27th, 2012 at 5:44 pm #14772

Got it. Then I look forward to your tests in the fresh installation. Thanks for your help. :)

Oh, s2Member will still do everything it has to do under the hood, and when it’s done it’ll redirect the person to the URL you specified in the [hilite mono]success[/hilite] attribute. :)

Posted: Sunday May 27th, 2012 at 5:38 pm #14770

Yes, he confirmed it’s going to be possible. :)

Posted: Sunday May 27th, 2012 at 6:40 am #14761

You can use the success attribute for the shortcode to show another page with a custom message:

[hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Shortcode Attributes -> success[/hilite]
[hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Custom Return URLs Upon Success[/hilite]

I hope that helps!

Hi Ian.

I’ll email Jason asking him, I’m still not familiar enough with PayFlow myself.

Posted: Sunday May 27th, 2012 at 6:36 am #14759

The new test installation, please. You already know it’s not working in the current installation you have, or is it working?

Posted: Sunday May 27th, 2012 at 5:50 am #14757

Thanks for the kudos, Rick! Very happy you’re loving s2Member. :)

You can protect the /users/ URL with the URI restriction, but that won’t let you make a distinction between the owner of the profile or someone else. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› URI Access Restrictions[/hilite]

What you can do is add a conditional to the template for the profile page. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Advanced PHP Conditionals[/hilite]

I hope that helps!

Hi Gunter.

1. You’d have to do that over at PayPal. I don’t know if PayPal lets you edit a subscription’s amount. You need to check over there, they’re the ones managing the subscription.

2. It sounds like you may have a JavaScript problem. Try changing the theme to the default one and try again, if it now works then the theme is causing the problem. If that’s not it, then try deactivating one by one the plugins that add widgets and check after each.

I hope that helps.

Hi Marlin.

Right, it’s not possible in the current s2Member and it is something we want to make possible. I’ll ask Jason if he’s planning to support that in the next major release he’s currently developing.

Hello Gary.

s2Member doesn’t remove the login page. You should be able to find it in its default place: /wp-login.php.

What’s the URL of your site?

For 2 there is a way to do it in the case of buy-now transactions, I wrote it in my previous reply.

If it’s a buy-now sale you’re doing, you can just sell them more time with the same button if you want. He has to be logged in to his account or the payment won’t be added to it. Make sure the setting for extensions is set to “yes”: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Automatic EOT Behavior -> Fixed-Term Extensions ( auto-extend )[/hilite]

You mentioned not doing subscriptions, so you’re doing buy-nows, so you’re good. Subscriptions don’t have this setting yet, and we are working on it and it is top-priority.

3 is not yet a feature in s2Member, and it is a top-priority to add it, we’re working on it as part of the new s2Member being developed.

In the meantime the solution has been to integrate with an email service so you add the customer to a list for reminders around the end of the time he paid for. The problem with that is that if they add time, the email delivery won’t be adjusted dynamically as it will with the new system we’re creating.

That said, the solution I mentioned in the other post, would work. Buy-now transactions immediately set an EOT time in the user’s profile, so you can have a script run every day to check the EOTs of the users and if it’s in 15 days, or whatever you want to set it to, send him an email.

Sorry I didn’t explain well enough earlier.

Thanks Sasha, got your email with the info. Nothing wrong jumps at me.

Would you help me doing a test? I’d like to make sure it’s not a conflict with another plugin that’s causing this problem. The site is live, so it’s harder to do there, but you can install a fresh copy of WordPress and s2Member in a directory and test there. Just those two, no other plugin or theme.

Configure the payment notification, configure the PayPal integration, create a button for 1 cent and make the purchase. Does the notification work? Try the URL to your script and the email too. If the URL works, did it pass the values or the replacement codes?

Thanks!

2. How the heck can I change it if someone who want to pay more, gets the years he buys added to his current duration.

3. Well I don’t want to clutter the forum with more posts, How can s2member be configured (is there any support for this?) to send out emails asking members to click that exact button above, to prolong their membership, once 2 weeks prior to expiration, once 1 week prior, and on expiration?

This is not available yet, but we’re working on it. In the current s2 you’d need to create a customization that checks the EOT times daily and send emails based on that.

I would need customers inside the European Union (like 95% of my donators) to pay 20% VAT, but if they are resident of (main importance) Switzerland or outside European Union deduct the VAT. Now I know how to put the 20% VAT into the paypal button, but I don’t know how to get it deducted automatically for non EU residents….

s2Member Pro has a tax calculation feature, but for the pro-forms, not the regular buttons. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Tax Rate Calculations[/hilite]

I believe the tax configuration for PayPal Standard is over at PayPal. http://flyingcart.com/blog/how-do-i-use-my-paypal-tax-settings/

I hope that helps.
