Yeah, I understand better what you wanted now. Thanks for explaining it, and I’m glad you found a way to make it work like that. :)

Ah, if you’re okay with it, could you also send me the login info for ClickBank to take a look at your settings there? If not, at least send me a newly generated test card from ClickBank to try a doing a test purchase.

Cool.

By the way, here’s a post Jason made today that may help understand the PayFlow integration a bit better: http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/requirements-for-new-paypal-pro-accounts/#post-14937

Posted: Wednesday May 30th, 2012 at 6:40 pm #14985

Right. We’ll try to make it easier to add restrictions in bulk to pages/posts.

Shouldn’t we be looking at the Authorize.net log and not the paypal log?

s2Member originally only supported PayPal, and later when new gateways were added, a good part of the existing code for PayPal was used, leaving some of the logging to happen in PayPal logs. Near the top of the entry I quoted, in the URL, you’ll see this variable: [hilite mono]s2member_paypal_proxy=authnet[/hilite].

I believe the Error #30 is not related to s2member but to the merchant. We are contacting them to see what is going on. I will update this if that is not the case.

Cool.

Hi Peter.

I’d like to mention that you can use the free registration pro-form without a PayPal Pro account, and this pro-form will let you register users at different levels for free. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Free Registration Forms[/hilite]

You may get a warning about no PayPal account having been configured, but just enter fake credentials if you’re only using the free registration pro-form, the message will go away.

The pro-form will include the s2Member custom fields available to the level the user is registering at.

We are getting rid of the serialized arrays soon, but if you need to work with them, there are different things I can share:

I hope that helps! :)

Yes, we’re considering it. I wrote down your request as a vote for it. :)

Posted: Wednesday May 30th, 2012 at 7:33 am #14928

Yes, you can update users in bulk with this as well. You just have to populate the user ID field so it’s an update instead of a new user.

If you fill the ID field, the Import routine will update an account matching the ID you specify ( so long as the account ID does NOT belong to an Administrator, this is for security ). When importing new Users/Members, you can leave the ID field empty; don’t remove it, just leave it empty ( i.e. “” ).

Hi Bran.

If you plan to use PayFlow, you’ll need to fill out the fields s2Member has for the integration with it, yes.

Thanks!

Hi Robert.

If they’re not site, but will be using s2Member Pro, then they should get their own licenses under their own name here, so you would be logging in to separate accounts. http://www.s2member.com/prices/#s2-terms-license-types

If they’ll be using the free version, then they aren’t required to have an account here.

Does that help?

Hi Daisy.

No, the notifications API doesn’t have a logic where it can notify differnt people based on the purchase variables. You need to send it to a script that will do that logic and then email accordingly. Or create a filter in your email account to forward a copy to them.

I hope that helps. :)

Hi Todd.

There’s the confirmation email: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Signup Confirmation Email[/hilite]

Does that one do what you want?

Posted: Wednesday May 30th, 2012 at 6:28 am #14914

Yeah: [hilite mono][[s2Get constant="S2MEMBER_CURRENT_USER_FIRST_NAME" /]][/hilite]

[hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› PHP/API Constants[/hilite]

I hope that helps. :)

Hi Jesse.

If you use the Pro Login Widget, in its configuration, set Redirection After Login to “previous page”.

By “weight” do you mean a profile field you created for that? If it’s not working, first check that it actually got saved after you created it. After creating it, you have to scroll to the bottom of the page and click the save button. If it is there, then make sure that you allowed the field for the level you are selling the user, or it won’t be displayed.

Let me know if that helps.

It’d be good that you contact PayPal support asking about enabling that, then. You really need it for the PayPal Pro integration to work properly with s2Member.

From [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› PayPal® IPN Integration -> More info[/hilite]

With PayPal® Pro integration you absolutely MUST set an IPN URL inside your PayPal® account. PayPal® Pro integration does NOT allow the IPN location to be overridden on a transaction basis.

Could you try, as a test, changing your theme to the default TwentyEleven and try again?

Posted: Wednesday May 30th, 2012 at 5:25 am #14907

No, haven’t heard back from Jason yet. I’ll email him again. He’s been checking his email less lately, since he’s deep in coding mode and quite busy, but he should be checking any time now.

Hi Gary.

It sounds like something weird is going on, huh? :)

I don’t know what could be causing the trouble with the login or registration. s2Member doesn’t block login, but it can block registration if you disabled Open Registrations. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Open Registration[/hilite] But if you’re not allowed, there’d be a message explaining that registrations are closed, not just no page.

Do you have server logs that could help you see if there are errors related to that page? [hilite mono]wp-login.php[/hilite] is the one that is used for login and registrations.

It could be that one of the plugins you have installed is causing you this trouble. Try deactivating them one by one and test after each to see if you still get the problem.

About the PayPal thing with the user not being registered. Paying over at PayPal won’t automatically register the user in your site, he has to register his account after the paymet. But, you have the registration problem going on, so I’d try to fix that first.

I hope that helps. :)

Yes, thanks a lot. :)

What you can do now, though, is make a list of the id numbers for those pages, and enter them into the page restriction box for that level. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› Page Access Restrictions[/hilite]

Same for posts.

I hope that helps. :)

Thanks, I did get the email with the info and forwarded it to Jason.

He’s checking his email twice a week now, so he should get to this one soon.

Sorry for the wait. Thanks for your patience.

By account database you mean a list of existing users? You can use the import tool then. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Import/Export -› User/Member Importation[/hilite]

I hope that helps. :)

It asks you to login again? Were you logged in when you started the checkout clicking the ClickBank button? By the way, you should not be logged in to your admin account when you pay, you should be logged out or with another regular account.

The payment doesn’t create a user, so it won’t automatically add a new user to the WP table for users. If you were not logged in, after payment you will be able to register an account that will get the access that was paid for.

I hope that helps.

It is valid HTML what the button outputs. I don’t know how Unbounce interfaces with WordPress or what is the problem with using the shortcode. The thing is that the ClickBank buttons have to use the shortcode, not static HTML.

If you can’t use the shortcode in the editor without problems, then you can try using the hack Jason suggests in the second part of this post: http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/using-clickbank-and-paypal/#post-11438

I hope that helps. :)
