The logs can be found under [hilite mono]/wp-content/plugins/s2member-logs/[/hilite].

The contact form has an attachment field, which you can use to attach the log files in a single zip archive. It also has fields for the login info. If you send the FTP login, I can look at the logs myself straight from the server, no need to attach them.

No, email addresses have to be unique. If you’re using Gmail, you can have multiple addresses with the same account, though, adding a plus sign and keyword after your username: username+account1@gmail.com, robert+anotherone@gmail.com, and all emails to those would end in the username@gmail.com inbox.

I hope that helps. :)

Got ya. I’ll wait for the logs then.

If you could, please put up a button to purchase for 1 cent so I make a test purchase too, would like to experience the checkout.

You can send all that to me using the private contact form: s2Member® » Private Contact Form

If you include the dashboard and FTP login info, I can take a look at the log entries I generate with my test purchases and review the s2Member settings to make sure everything’s fine there.

Thanks!

Hello Michelle.

What demo account are you referring to? This is not something s2Member adds or modifies.

Hi Marc-Andre.

It sounds like you gave him a 1 month trial. Could you show me the shortcode you created for the button?

Posted: Thursday May 31st, 2012 at 4:38 pm #15086

Cool. Let me know how it goes. :)

The logs can be found under [hilite mono]/wp-content/plugins/s2member-logs/[/hilite].

It’s possible that a recent plugin upates introduced a conflict that caused the emails to stop working.

Oh, that does make things simpler. :)

Posted: Thursday May 31st, 2012 at 4:17 pm #15082

Cool. Glad it worked. :)

No, nothing in the shortcode to control that. Did you try with CSS? Or inside <center> tags in the HTML tab?

[hilite pre_code]
[[s2Member-PayPal-Button . . . output="button" /]]

[/hilite]

Really, how did you know that Philly? :)

boudewijn, did that fix the problem with buttons ceasing to work that you mentioned in the other thread? I dont know if the button not appearing in the page and the button not working are the same problem or different ones.

s2Member does the get_defined_vars thing to provide the hook with all the vars available, for your use in the customization if you need it.

You can do something like this to see what vars you have at the point of that hook:

[hilite pre_code]

[/hilite]

Then find the var you need and use it in your hack.

I hope that helps. :)

Thanks for the update! I’m glad you found the source of the problem. :)

eShop and s2Member seem to conflict in the automatic redirection to PayPal Standard (s2Member seems to have priority) and without integration between the two plugins, members have to enter their address and other info all over again when purchasing a product.

What do you mean? If you show the add-to-cart button to Level 1 users only, that means that he already paid for the access before. Why would that checkout interfere with the shop’s? Could you explain a bit more what the problem is being? Thanks. :)

Glad you got it fixed! Thanks for the update. :)

Cool. Yeah, that’s the thread I was going to point you to when I read that it’s an upgrade and not a new user.

Thanks for the update. I’m glad you got it working the way you want. :)

We’ll improve the interface for the emails soon, it’ll be easier to customize them.

I’m very sorry Franck. When you posted I also got an email through the contact form with login info and a link to this thread, so I confused it as your site, but it was actually another user that sent it. Sorry for the confusion.

About your site, do you have logging enabled? And what do the logs say for the transactions you have problems with? Could you post all the related entries (x’ing out private info like email)?

Did you test deactivating other plugins one by one and trying a test 1 cent purchase after each?

Posted: Thursday May 31st, 2012 at 5:36 am #15011

Excellent!

If changing the theme fixed it, then your theme is causing a problem with the JavaScript. It’d be good to check it out and fix it, or it could cause you other problems you haven’t noticed yet.

You’re welcome. :)

Hi Charles.

Yeah, it seems fine in the list if that’s the case, but you still have a weird behavior there.

You may want to test to see if you can find a plugin causing this. Deactivate other plugins one by one and refresh the user’s profile after each to check if it fixes it. I suggest that you start with any caching plugin you may be using.

I hope that helps. :)

Posted: Thursday May 31st, 2012 at 4:34 am #15007

By the way, if you have log entries of the transactions you say didn’t work with the buttons, I’d like to see that, please. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Logging[/hilite]

Thanks!

Sure. In your Account page, where the downloads are, you’ll see a login for each that takes you to the archive of previous releases. http://www.s2member.com/account/

http://www.s2member.com/framework/#!s2_tab_jump=s2-framework-archive
http://www.s2member.com/pro/#!s2_tab_jump=s2-pro-archive

Make sure you have Deactivation Safeguards enabled. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Deactivation Safeguards[/hilite]

Via FTP upload the previous version directories to wp-content/plugins/, but add something to the name so it doesn’t overwrite the current ones. When the uploads finish, add a character to the name of the s2Member directories you already had there, and then remove the extra characters from the new directories you uploaded. That’d help keep the downtime to a minimum.

Before this, it’s advisable to create a backup of your site and database, just in case. If you had a backup from before the upgrade, which is also good to do, then you have the option of going back to that.

I hope that helps.

Could you post a screenshot of the panel [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields[/hilite]?

What did you set “Applicable Membership Levels” to in your custom field’s settings?

Could you post the shortcode you’re using for the pro-form?

And are you logged in or out when you view the pro-form?

Thanks for reporting this! I’ll forward it to Jason now.
