I emailed Jason to take a look at this thread, he’s the one who’d know about the logging you’re asking. I know you can search the forums, I just didn’t know if you had found/read that thread I linked to. Like this reply, seems important and may have a clue to what’s giving you trouble: http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=15853#p52876 |

Hi Joe. What you can do is have a free registration pro-form that lets them register at Level 1 for 1 week. Then your EOT behavior would demote them to Level 0, where you can show them in the Login Welcome page using a conditional for Level 0, that they should upgrade. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Free Registration Forms[/hilite] No, there isn’t really a way to prevent someone from just registering over and over with new email addresses, that’s a risk you’ll run. Even if you used cookies to track him, he could delete them or use another browser. I’m sorry, but this is a problem everyone runs into with trials. The one thing you could do is always show the same content to the trial users and only let the paying users see more, but I don’t know if that works for your what you’re creating. I hope that helps. :)

Got it on the video and the plugins. Did you read the other forum thread I linked to? http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=15853 |

Sorry, James, but we don’t provide that service. You can try jobs.wordpress.net or other freelance sites like eLance or oDesk too. I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Richard. I’m not sure I understand. If you use the Edit My Profile link in the s2Member Pro Login Widget, you get the profile edit popup and after saing you get taken where exactly? In my installation it takes me to the home page. If you don’t get the popup, could you tell me what value you have for the Edit Profile field in the widget’s settings? Thanks. |

Hi Kevin. Sorry, but this is not something that s2Member supports. You should probably contact the developer of the plugin you’re using to create that new role. Or try another one, like the User Role Editor. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/user-role-editor/ Here’s the WordPress documentation for roles and capabilities. http://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities#Capabilities I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Tuhin. From what you say, there’s something different between your MAMP and webhost installations. It could be the server, or even WP. Did you install all the same plugins as well? If so, then it’s down to the server. The PHP version is fine, and from what you say the rest is fine too. Was this the video you watched? There could also be a problem with the Amazon account, as experienced before by another member who fixed the problem when the Amazon guys reset his account after all his tests. But it did work for you when using the MAMP server, so that’s probably not it. Here’s an old thread about a 400 error with CloudFront, although the error message is slightly different, please see if helps solve yours: http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=15853 Please let us know how it goes. :) |

Right, they don’t need to create a new account. The demoted account can be upgraded again if he’s logged into it. |

I’m asking Jason about the PitchPlus support. I know he’s looked into that lately, but I don’t know if something can be done about it in the current integration. I’ll let you know what he replies. |

I see what you mean. Yes, you could create the account for the person, import the users using the import tool and enter a unique password for each user and email them their login info. Another option is to leave the password field blank and point them to the lost password page so they “recover” it having the system generate a new one that’ll be sent to their email address. |

[hilite pre_code]
[/hilite] Put that where the IP address is. And then remember to test the link to make sure the transaction goes well and you can register an account and the right role gets set. |

The Pro description mentions that PitchPlus isn’t supported yet. http://www.s2member.com/pro/#s2-features-clickbank I’m sorry it’s not ready yet. :/ We do plan to support it in the future, but I don’t have a date. Probably in the coming major release, in some weeks. About generating the link, you do need to be logged in to create the shortcode and put it in the page, but then log out and go to the page as a visitor so you get the URL without it including your account info. |

Hi there. You can do it. You’d only have s2Member installed in Site A, though. In Site A create the ClickBank order link and then use it in Site B. But the ClickBank integration would be with Site A only and it’d work fine. In a page of Site A, use the shortcode for the CB button, log out and load the page, then copy the URL you get for the button. If you are logged in, then the URL will be linked to that account, and you don’t want that, you need to be logged out. You’ll notice it also includes the IP address of the user, so you’ll need to replace that with a bit of PHP to update the IP, instead of having yours hardcoded there. That is the URL you’d use in Site B. I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Ben. s2Member Pro has a tool to import users, but it’ll create the accounts for them. I’m a bit confused because you ask how to create the account for them, but want them to then give the username and password, which are required to create the account in the first place. I think the best would be to have them create the accounts and then you review them. If you have premium content, then protect it at Level 1, free users won’t see it because they’d be Level 0. Then, when you review the free users, you can upgrade them from their profile to Level 1 and they’d get access to that content. I hope that helps. |

Hi Reginald. No, that’s not how s2Member works in multisite. You can enable s2Member in the network’s blogs, but each blog is independent from the rest. They share the source files, but they are separate blogs. Pretty much like WordPress.com. There are hacks to share the userbase between the blogs in a network, but that’s not something we give assistance with. I know some users have hacked WordPress to do that, and then used s2Member in a way similar to what you describe, but I can’t help much with that. I recommend you google how to share users in WordPress multisite, that should be a good starting point. I hope that helps. :) |

Hi Ben. You can use a List Server integration and add the user to an email sequence that’ll follow up with him and encourage him to renew the access. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / List Servers[/hilite] You can also have a conditional in the Login Welcome page to check when the user was a paid user but is now a free one, and show him a customized message to upgrade again. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting[/hilite] You can then do more advanced customizations, but I won’t get into those here. We’re working on a new major version of s2Member that’ll make these things much easier but, although it’s our main focus right now and is under heavy development, I don’t have a date for it yet. I hope that helps. |

Hi Alex. The Pro version doesn’t include that payment gateway. It does have other integrations that you could look at and copy parts of to integrate with the one you want, though. You can try integrating with the free version, though, even if you don’t have something to copy. About integrating with new payment gateways, this may help: http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=3154 |

Please double check all your Authorize.Net integration settings. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Authorize.Net® Options[/hilite] And the other log shows a 253 error from Auth.Net, not sure if it’s related. http://www.authorize.net/support/merchant/Transaction_Response/Response_Reason_Codes_and_Response_Reason_Text.htm#243

Right, like Raam says, free registrations would put the user at s2Member Level 0, and he’ll only see the content you make available to that level. if you protect the paid content at s2 Level 1 or higher, a level 0 user won’t have access to it. So you can have Open Registration enabled and have users register free, but only those that paid for Level 1 or higher will see the protected content. |

Hi Peter. Those are user roles in WordPress. The Quick Post plugin should work with the existing roles, even new ones, not just the default ones. You would have to contact the developer of that plugin and ask how you can do that. If what the Quick Post plugin does is add a WordPress capability to the role you choose, then you could add the capability to the s2Member role using a plugin like User Role Editor. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/user-role-editor/ I hope that helps. |
